Alpine heating/heatsink problem
hey,
does anyone else alpine headunit get extremely hott on the heatsink (like to the point of burning you???) I've had two HU's that have done this... do i have bad luck or is this one of alpines oh so little problems? (i have the cda-9847 and had the 9825, great headunits... they just get extremly hot)
is this normal? thanx in advance

alpines usually run a lil hot on the back yes.. if ur finding that its running so hot its shutting down then u can go to radio shack and buy a 1 in fan to put on the top of the radio.. shouldnt be to expencivE!!!
Make sure there is nothing obstructing the heat vents in the back of the unit.
FYI...Higher end Alpine headunits (e.g. 9833, 9835) have a small built-in fan to help dissipate heat.
