Default alpine causing problems

Installed 9833 and car is running like ****. It makes the car idle up and down and then it seems like the car runs funny. I bought the wiring harness to hook the radio up to the stock harness. After disconnecting the radio the car runs fine. Have heard there is a need to run a wire directly to the battery. Where is it good to connect the ground wire? Right now using the harness but it is not working well.

Connect the ground wire to the chassis. I'm not sure about your model, but my 9815 has the yellow wire connected directly to the battery.
