Default aladdin a-2000 users, please help

I've got the aladdin a-2000 alarm w/ auto start and I'm having problems with the a/c turning on with the auto start.

I need to know if anyone else has this problem? At first my a/c didn't turn on but my radio did....so I got it rewired, and now the a/c comes on, but not the radio. Does anyone have it wired so it does both? Or does anyone know if there is a preset time that the brain waits before it turns on the a/c? I do know that to get the a/c to turn on with the autostart, the installer did need a relay....did anyone else need this?

Thanks for your help

Hello
We delt with them in the past. My best advise to you would be to sell that thing and get a good starter/alarm.

To help you though- The heater/ ac will turn on after 30-1min after teh car has started. As soon as you unlock the door it will shut off so dont be fooled.

If you have any other q's I can help you.

Just to let you know the alladin the innotel and boomerang are all the same ...

I have no idea what they did under there. But they charged me for a relay when I took my alarm back in to get the a/c part added on. I didn't know about the whole 30sec-1min delay and that it turned off when you unlock the doors. That had me fooled. I guess I'll take it back to them and have them reverse it to how it was before.

thanks

The delay is programable if you still have your instructions youll find that its pretty easy to program.

Every shop I gone to have given aladdin alarms nothing but negative reviews. These aladin alarm are garbage as evident with the constant problems and poor quality. Stick with DEI (www.dei.com or http://www.directed.com), makers of Viper, Python, Clifford, etc., They make the best, most reliablest alarm on the market.

You guys keep saying that but never explain exactly why they are crap. I know at least 20 ppl who have it and say it works fine. So let's settle this debate once and for all so all these thread can stop popping up asking others reviews on aladdin 2000.

I would also like to know why people say they are crap. I have one and have never had any problems with it. I also know a few others with this alarm, and they dont have any problems with them either.

Does your a/c and radio turn on with your autostart? If so, do you know how to set it so it does? Thanks

Maybe people aren't installing them properly.

None of my friends have had any problems yet with their Aladdin A-2000 alarm. I'm about to get one but I'm thinking about going with Compustar (a lot larger range on pager and I heard everything is internal, no little antenna box that has to be visible).

Btw, is there proximity sensors on the Aladdin? One of my friends with the Aladdin wants it, but I have no idea if the Aladdin has proximity. Another thing, do you know where to get information on programming the alarm? Thanks.

No there are no proximity sensors on it. The range on these alarms is a 1/4 mile, you can increase it but i forgot how.

I have mine set so that there is a 2 min delay before the radio turns on, i usually get in the car before the climate controls turn on. I have to look for my instructions, but when i find them ill let you know
