Default Aftermarket keyless entry remote replacement

I have a 97 Accord LX and the original owner installed an aftermarket keyless entry system by Chapman. The remote has been slowly dieing on my the last year or so, so I thought I'd buy a replacement one, but apparently Chapman no longer exists. The remote is a 2 button.

My question is since the FCC ID on the back of the remote is GOH-M24, can I just buy any 2 button remote that also has the same FCC ID? Apparently there are a lot of subaru remotes that are on the same frequency.
