97 HONDA CIVIC lx KEYLESS ENTRY

does a 97 honda civic LX with stock head unit have the controls for a remote unlock fob. I DONT WANT TO PURCHASE ONE IF IT WONT WORK.

Yes. What you need is Honda radio 39110-S01-A01. There are always quite a few on Ebay. Just make sure the radio has the black antenna on the back for keyless. Seen here:
