What's a good 8" sub out there? Something that doesnt cost an arm and a leg.

I do have this exact same Sony 8" Sub.

Just wondering, are you getting the 8" because?????? I just want to make sure and don't want to recommend something you may not be happy with.

8" sub is not for everone.

 

sony is junk get a MTX 6000 or MTX 8000 inch. i just installed on in a regular cab dodge dakota . it hits really hard ........... for an eight !

would have to say those are nice...buddy has 2 of those 8s along with 2 JL w6 12's in his blazer... sounds relaly nice...

im glad atleast some people are giving you models of product, it is so funny to have somone come into the store and think there getting the best thing on earth just cause it says JL or Rockford, its all about what it is, not what name it has.

thanks guys. i just ordered the Focal 21H 8" sub.

it's for a custom audio setup.. the 8" will be inside the cabin.

i dont want tooo much bass.. just need it to get the true sound.

I would seriously go with the JL 8W6. I haven't heard a better sounding 8 inch woofer until I heard these. I now have 3 8W6's in a sealed box, but haven't had it in my car in a long time. but anyways it sounds really good

 

ya, i had the w6 before.. they're really good also. Just time to try something new. I'll keep you guys informed how the Focal 21H sounds.

 

Go with a bass tube!!! sound great and hit hard!!!

 

It's going to be pretty hard to get your hands on a W6 though. The W3 should get louder. I have an older W1 that I really like.

The Solo L5's would have a hand up on almost any 8" out there as it has so much more cone area.
