Are the speakers in the DC2 in the rear side panels or are they in the pods above the rear shock towers? It's been forever since I've worked on a Teg....

6x9s = distortion
soundwaves are naturally circular oblong speakers create distorted sound by stretching the wave.
6.5"s are better speakers stick with what size u have.
buy kicker SSMB6s and put them in your rear space, get an amp thats like 100-125x2 RMS to push them.

they are on the sides next to the rear passengers.

Also if you take my advise and do SSMB6s seal the whole area with dynamat.
I put SSMB8s in my friends RSX in the same place but that was time consuming. I doubt you want to spend like 10 hrs fitting 8"s back there.

What year is a DC2?
If it is a G2 forget it, if it's a G3 it's not that hard, although I would stick with a 6.5" mid-bass driver, there are even a few 7" and 8" subs that you can fit in a G3s rear speaker locations.

I run a set of 6.5" 2ways [with the tweeter disconnected] mounted in custom MDF and fiberglass cabinets in the stock rear speaker locations in my 94LS, [all the bass I need]. 94
