They would work best on the rear deck. By the way does anyone know if the dx coupes come prewired for rear speakers? Mine has no speakers in the back soooooo.....

EG's don't come with 6"x9"s. You'll either have to cut the deck or build a mounting ring to install them. I would sell them and use the money towards some decent front speakers.

you can sell them to a 96-00 civic owner...those use 6x9's (all years...98 for sure) if i'm not mistaken.
tolowhb:
i'm not sure if they do, but in a 91 honda accord dx, there wasn't even any holes in the cardboard rear deck for speakers! you might have to wire it, though i definitely could be wrong.
you can check and see if there are any wires running underneath the plastic running board right next to the outsides of the driver and passenger seats. i had just wired my car for a subwoofer, but i can't remember for the life of me if the rear speakers ran under the boards as well. at least the running boards can be easily popped off. the only other place would be right down the center, but chances if the wires are there, they'd be on the sides.

Yeah, EG's come with 6.5's all around. I tried to install 6x9's in my couin's 95EX and it didn't work. The only way to mount those 6x9's in the rear would be to cut the metal in the rear deck to fit 6x9's. It would be much easier to get 6.5's and since you got the 6x9's for free it's not a real question about money. Sell the 6x9's and get some 6.5's for the front and rear. Good luck
