2010 Accord Rear Defrost Trigger
Any ideas on alternate locations to tag rear defroster trigger other than at the radio/climate control bezel?
I'm really not interested in pulling that unit if I don't absolutely have to.
I put an Avital 4103 in my wife's 2010 Accord LX this weekend, and that's the last item left to hook up. In this car, I can't even hear the relay click when pushing the defrost button, so I couldn't trace it out that way, unfortunately.
Thoughts? Thanks!

maybe catch it at the back glass and use your own relay?
how hard was it? my wife bought an accord coupe ex-l last month. she wants some hid's and the avital 1 button remote start.
did you get a coupe? we cant see **** with the oem projectors. the foglights give off almost all the light.

Re: 2010 Accord Rear Defrost Trigger
Not remotely interested in disassembling anything more than necessary. There has to be a wire going into the fuse box, and I'm sure it's neg trigger just like my '02 Accord and my Mom's '06 Civic. I just need to find it.
It was moderately difficult to install the remote start. Worst part was going into the door for lock, unlock & factory alarm disarm. At least there wasn't a molex plug in the door jamb to contend with like on earlier models.
My wife's is a 4 door LX.

Re: 2010 Accord Rear Defrost Trigger
Much appreciated, but the defroster trigger was the last wire to be hooked up. Everything else is working perfectly. Thanks though.

Re: 2010 Accord Rear Defrost Trigger
Greetings Everyone,
I followed the advice from this thread.....I tied the negative latchd pulse from the remote start to the wire specified on this thread.
The wire is on the light green connector on the driver's fuse panel....it's six pins down on the right side of the connector (BRN) if viewed from the front. When I activate the
rear defrost from the remote start, I can feel and hear the relay (located in the fuse box
under the hood) click.......so I know something is happening......but the rear defrost does not activate. The remote output is (-) latched or can be timed. The remote is a Code Alarm CA-530.
Does anyone have any ideas what can be wrong? Thanks for any help you can give.
