Default 2008 Accord Audio Problems

Hi guys, I have been having this problem that has been driving me crazy & I'm hoping somebody can help me out or has any experience with the same problem.

I just got an '08 Accord EX and had the amp & subwoofer from my old car to this one. I kept the stock dash and my installer said they needed to use a hi to low adapter to connect my amp to the stock unit. I get this ridiculously loud & annoying feedback through my sub, which seems to happen but is not limited to when my engine is at 1700rpm and 3000 rpm. This happens regardless if my audio unit is on or not, and only at certain rpm ranges. I have been back & forth to the audio place and they insist its not a grounding issue but its feedback coming from my stock unit. Has anyone heard of or experienced this happening and know what I can do?

Ask your installer to increase the levels on the hogh/low and lower the gains on the sub amp. Think of a guitar/amp feedback when the volume is turned up, apples and oranges, but a similar idea.

Sounds od, but give it a try.

Yea I'm not sure what they used. Are those audiocontrol & JL CleanSweet some time of filters?

Do you think it could be an issue of quality of converter they used or if it sounds moreso just a grounding issue they couldn't fix & are trying to avoid?

I already have the amp gain almost all the way down, reduces the volume of feedback but its still there, still loud, & still annoying as all hell.

The Audio Control LC6 and JL CleanSweep are OEM integration pieces, they allow the use of factory head units with aftermarket amplifiers. I prefer the LC6, maily because it has sub out and sub level control. The LC7 gives you a AUX in as well, but you need to have full amplification to use the AUX in on the LC7(front, rear, sub amp channels). The CleanSweep is a good piece, the first on the market from the BIG mfrs, but all the others purchased the CleanSweep and made thier own version, many improved on the idea.

The high to low, or LOC, is the cheap way to get speaker level into RCA level, but you are amplifying an amp, not the cleanest signal.

I checked what hi-lo they used. It's a PAC SNI 35. I'll look into those other things you suggested..
