Kind of guess he should be accurate in what kind of car he has then.

Then again maybe he does have an SiR. maybe your being an *** assuming he has an Si.

eses_ss There is no double din kit listed for a 2004 Civic.

This is the kit for 2002 & up Civic...
http://www.scosche.com/products/sfID.../productID/102

A double din kit is avalable for 06-09 Civics...
http://www.scosche.com/products/sfID.../productID/545

There may be enough room, [with some mods] to fit a double din HU in the opening and then modify the avalable single din W/pocket kit into a trim panel. 94

You do realize that the SiR in Canada was the Si here, right?

Maybe you should get outta here?

Anyways... As FCM said, I don't think a double-din will be plug & play...

I don't even know if you can physically fit a double-din in that hole, since if I remember right, one of the edges (left or right) has an angle and the pocket is narrower than the actual radio??

Just to clear things up it is the same thing as a 2004 si. I guess up here in Canada they used the sir name to differentiate it from the 2 and 4 door si models. Regardless thanks for giving me links and such, I have been doing alot of digging for info also. I have seen double din nav and stereo units installed on the this car in pictures from e-bay to other for sale sites, but they dont mention anything about the install (obviously). I also searched cardomain with no luck. The only thing I have noticed from pics about the install is that the trim is black where the oem trim is silver. So maybe they modify an aftermarket kit with the standard pocket to fit a double din? I was hoping someone here might have had experience with installs for this model.

I have done more then a few of the Civics but never a double din in one, kind of strange seeing how many 02-05 Civics there are up here.
Anyway, nothing is impossible, the impossible...... 94

For reference, here's a shot of the dash in that car... And FCM, we're talking about an Si, not a regular Civic coupe or sedan...

See what I mean about the angle?

Yep, Si/SiR up here, that dash, and the "regular Civic coupe or sedan" 94
