2002 Civic no remote wire?

2002 Civic no remote wire?

I was connecting the wirin harness to my aiwa HU. There is no blue remote wire on the harness, and on the HU there is no ORANGE-dimmer illumination, or ORANGE/WHITE wires.

Does this seem right?

I believe that the remote wire only runs from the HU side of the harness. All of the metra harnesses that I have seen had illumination wires. What type of harness are you using? Maybe it's a different color?

it's not uncommon for the dimmer to not be there. some aftermarket HU's can not be dimmed.

sorry im not familiar with that..but you can use a toggle switch in place of a remote wire or you can tap into your antena's remote wire...

ive done both ways on different cars...
