Re: 13W7 vs RE XXX (GSteg)
18XXX will own a 13w7. That is not even a contest.
SPl, and sq.
Before we get over subjective *flame suit on*. The 18 will displace a lot more air, linearly than the w7 will. I could perform as loudly as the smaller sub without breaking a sweat

IMO, JL should at least made a 15" W7. that would be crazy right there. but according to Manville, the 13W7 was the best compromise between 12" and 15".
now the new xxx cone looks good. IMO much better than last year's cone.

Re: (GSteg)
The new XXX is very sexxxy. I was a little upset that someone on the termpro and blackice(I think) forums posted that the 2003 xmax was 38. When I called re they said it is 32.4.

lol...38mm..kinda remind me of beyond audio and their inhuman. claiming to have 40mm of xmax i think. well thats with the 8mm in-gap and no one uses that anymore. 32mm left without the ingap, and their basket will allow up to only 32mm inward so basically its hitting the basket when it reaches xmax..not even full excursion yet!
32.4mm is still very impressive. heck..i'm still impressed with my idmax's 24mm+.

Re: (PetroGuyX)
I have not heard it yet. I am considering buying one
I have not heard anything bad about it. There are many people that say it is very close to the w7(size for size) in spl and sq. A few of the termpro guys have owned both.
This is what the 2003 xxx looks like

Re: (GSteg)
Last time I checked, for absolutely no noise it was around 50 square inches. Unless you have a big *** box, the port would be way to long.
Also, GSteg, have him send you 2 new ones I will buy the second off you if the price is right.
I was thinking about this tonight. I have spent over 3k on car audio in 6 months. I just bought a valentine one 2 weeks ago. I need to budget myself or something.

That box looks huge!! The Brama seamed to be able to run in rather small boxes, what does this thing do? What do they sell for?
Eventually the speaker manufactures are going to stop playing around and make one that mounts in the roof and uses the entire inside of the car as the enclosure. LOL sound like a speaker for JOMO, I mean Kenny

Haha, that box is bigger than an nsx
I think the re will run in small boxes also, but medium/large ported is where it excels. You get 8mm dumaxed verified xmax over the brahma. It sells for about 400 plus minus 50 depending on the size you want. and vc options.
