Default 10" 4ohm sub suggestions

i've been looking all over for a decent 10" 4ohm sub. i have 300x1 rms at 4ohms to send it. i'd like to spend less than $80.

please give me suggestions! i've been looking all over for a good sub, and i'm at a loss. can i just get a DVC sub with 4ohm coils, and run only one of the coils??

You can get a DVC sub with 2 ohm coils. Check out Alpine's type R's and IDQ V.2's.

Edesignaudio.com also I'm sure the e10.k is a solid performer.

yeah, but then i'm only feeding each coil 150rms. that's not enough at all.

WIth a DVC sub the rms rating is total, not per coil (unless specified). 150w to each coil will power any of the subs that I mentioned nicely.

Thanks, I'm trying to tell him that he is not limited to 4 ohm SVC subs. You can achieve the same results with a DVC 2 ohm sub.

Why the hell is everybody so damn overly critical...

That much power is slightly more than a JL10W0 would like. Maybe a lower-end Kicker, MTX 4000/8000 or Rockford Fosgate.

naw..i didnt mean to be a dick...i was just saying..he wants a 4ohm sub because his amp runs stable at 4ohms..i heard someone saying if you run a different ohm sub vs amp..it would overheat..or other things...

btw...if you want a sub less than 80.00..im selling 2 12' subs...75.00 a piece...its 4ohm...300W RMS 1200W PEAK...i have one slightly used...and the other brand new in box...never bought a box for it...

If you're looking to spend $80 or less I would recommend Infinity Reference 10" sub. That's what I have. It has a great range and can handle alot of power.
