Default xfrankx's new eg build. wire tuck, swap, all that fun stuff

well after a few cars bought built and sold i decided to start a new one and do a lot of the things i havent done before on the past ones. i did a lot of reading, got help from a lot of good friends and without them i wouldnt of been able to do it how i wanted it or afford it for that matter. i got a ton of good deals on paint work, parts and some good advice and help. that being said

93 eg hatch that i picked up off a guy on here from dc. when i got there to get the car i found it had no gas tank, the pass side mount was all cut up from who knows what swap was in the car and had what i believe to be either h22 axles in it or dss because the hubs were way too big to even fit in the stock wheel center holes. all this will be fixed in the coming week so i can get the car to the shop to get the bay painted.

so far its in the stripping down/ buying new parts process. i gutted the car down this past weekend removing all the blue interior and getting new black for it. i also did a headlight tuck and had rougeg6 come down to take my harness to make me a new one. he does awesome work for an even better price.

some parts i have now:

b20 swap.dc 4-1 header
competition 6 puck clutch
str pro series cam gears
itr shift boot
jdm tsx ****
ground control coilovers with skunk 2 1000k springs
gsr front brakes with extended wheel studs
str oil cap
custom painted b20 vc color matched and airbrushed
50/50 tails
apexi ws2 exhuast
gsr blades
and a bunch of other random stuff for the build like a custom made oddyssey battery box to mount it on the frame rail and remote battery terminals

im hoping to have most of the interior in this week, the new mount on, the hubs switched out, wheels repainted and the car to the shop for paint. after that the build should be moving along quickly with new parts being added daily in hopes i can make it to the mid atlantic h-t meet in pittsburgh in 3 weeks.

the plan is to drive it with the b20 this summer and build a motor over winter as well as do the brake lines and other engine bay stuff.

ill have pics posted up tonite of the progress the pics are on my friends camera. keep checking back for the progress if its something that interests you. its not gonna be super baller but it will be done right and clean using as many oem parts as possible plus i have a few ideas in mind to try to go in a bit different direction than most people.

9's this year for sure.

i guess vince actually has his car almost done. its damn close. thats about the only thing that will give you a run this season unless baldys car actually runs well. im anxious to see how that goes.

i just needed to throw together a car for summer and i figured i may as well make it look nice for a change.

i might be picking up some turbo **** off justin within the next month so if that happens ill have to come down the shop for a tune

black interior. type r boot and possibly a custom shift **** im going to make. i have a few ideas for it that i got from a shifter on a old school panhead bobber. i already have everything as far as stock black interior though. im just waiting to order new carpet and for my mugen racing ll wheel to come in. then i can put back everything in but the dash since my harness isnt back yet. im still trying to find a set of seats if anyone has a nice set let me know i need them asap.
