Hello im wunfstgsr this should be in the pic thread but i want feadback, this is my 98'' gsr i baught it bone stock at 140,000k running strong two years ago rebuilt with the sole purpose to build a fast street car here in c.a without the cops giving me tickets for variouse and the common reasons we get reff tickets here in C.A, so some parts are made to look stock but is not, turbo, nos combos were all considered before the build but power adders like those are not carb legal, nor is my jrsc setup but it does have the carb sticker which most all turbo kits dont come with.. i chose to do something diffrent and debated for a long time!= high compression and boost!* some say its not possible or safe well here it is!.. i would like any positive fead back and suggestions. the motor is still in its cam stage, im going through diffrent cams to see what will make the best power, motor made 230hp and 163 tq on 5psi boost! with the sk2 pro 1 cams but there overcamed for this setup i thought since it was good with turbo f.i setups it could be good for the jrsc but its killing the power next will be stock gsr cams then itr or i might do gsr ex and itr in??, shawn from churches says i should be in the 270 hp rage with stock cams at 9psi boost, here are some pics of the block ect. rotating assembly was put together by a H.T member, long block was assembled by me as well as the swap and jrsc install, tuning is done at Church automotive this is my first f.i setup ive had many N.a builds but this by far is much funner to drive its instant power and theres massive wheal spin through the gears.

setup:
JRSC 5psi boost
98'' gsr head aprox 6k
3 angl vj ect.
arp h.s
suppertech high comp.flat valves
sk2 v.t, sk2 pro1 cams
rc 440cc
comptech ice box intake
jdm itr header

gsr block resleaved, usdm itr pistons final comp. aprox 11:4!! aprox 6k
king race bearings, polished crank, arp bolts
buddyclub spec 3 2.5''catback with 2.5''magna flow muffler with stock gsr polished tip welded on
walbro 255 fuel pump

98'' gsr transmision
M factory 4.9 final drive
M factory 3.09 close ratio first gear
Quaife LSD

Cosmetics: painted Carbon fiber hood, momo stearing wheal/shift ***, NRG short hub, usdm itr shift boot, recaros evo 9 seats, usdm itr cluster, jrsc boost gauge, rsx-s rear seat, e-m racing pillar bar, tcs front and trunk sway bar, nuespeed lower tie bar, sk2 pro coilovers, energy motor mount inserts, hid lights, oem usdm itr lip kit.

ditch the gsr badge on the back and get the OEM rear valences.
black samcos would have been a better choice for the "sleeper theme"

nice touch with the exhuast to go with the sleeper theme, wouldn't do it to my gsr, but hey to each his own. But yeah, I double the idea of taking off the theif magnet in the back (badge) and getting rear valences.

I love the GSR badge in the back, I've got the same set up on my MR GSR with badge on back.

nice setup..seee if that high compression will last though. how long have u driven it like that? i was thinken either turbo mostly but wanted to be supercharged too. because it is cheaper...by a little. but i'm debating might regret it in the long run might want more power you know what i mean...

Its been about a month and no issues although iat's get high after a couple of hard pulls and i can feal a slight power loss not much but the air does get hot! but im gonna wrap the intake arm up with ex. wrap it helps i heard. if i wanted i could of built a reliable turbo setup easily over 400hp but its about being within the streat legal limits here in s.d so if i was in a less restrictave place like florida or new mexico id most likely be turbo theres some real good turbos that have good spool time but the jrsc is almost instant response with no lag only prob with mine is the sk2 pro 1's are killing my power and vtec is at a stagering 6,000 rpm!! its much to high for the jrsc, once its back down with the stock cams to around 4,500-5,500 rpm it will feal alot better when boosting! and i should make a whole lot more hp.
