You impressed me this weekend sir. In AND out of the bedroom. Can't wait to hear this beast purrrrr.

Lots of progress has been made over this last weekend. When I got in friday, my valve spring compressor had come in the mail so I got to work on reassembling the head. Cleaned and lapped the valves, new Honda valve seals, new ITR valve springs.









ARP head studs..



Honda 3-layer headgasket



Head on and torqued to ARP spec..



New Honda exhaust manifold studs and nuts (not pictured)



Water pump and new gasket



New lower timing cover and gasket



Setting the timing. '01 ITR cams installed



New hardware throughout



Intake manifold and throttle body installed, thermal spacer, new hardware, etc



New flywheel bolts



Clutch installed



New alternator belt and related hardware



As of this morning I got the motor back in the car. Still need to get a few things but hope to crank her up next weekend and begin the break-in process, then tune the weekend after.



And don't mind the valve cover, it's being redone

 

great job taking an extra step for everything, it will pay off in the end
