I was out of town Easter weekend visiting family, but I finally had some time today to get pictures up. Last Thursday (4/9/2009) I got the rotating assembly in.
Had to fuel up before I got started

The work area..

Pistons labeled and coupled with their corresponding ringland sets.

I replaced all the main and rod bearings with brand new Honda pieces. As this was just an oem rebuild and there was no damage to the crank, caps, rods, or bearings, I replaced them with the same respective colors that were in the motor before. After installation all the clearances were double-checked with plastigage.
New main bearings..

New thrust washers..

New rod bearings..

A few pictures of the clearances being double checked with plastgage. Not going to bore you with pictures of each journal because they all pretty much look the same..

Everything torqued to spec in the proper sequence.. (thanks to hondaboy for letting me use his SnapOn tq wrench!)

Turning her over to make sure everything spins nice and freely..

Hondaboy4life helping out

DONE

Also thanks to TC (ludedeg) for loaning me his ring compressor

. Will def be fun but still reliable and not have to worry about bad gas pinging or any of that stuff. I will make a trip up there for sure when this baby is done, just like i promised son.
