Then again, the VW cost $35,000 and the Honda is only worth about $1,000.

In all seriousness though, get the GTI. You will love it. You can tuck tire and still get around pretty feasibly.

I'd like to... always wanted a VW. Is that a static drop or bags? I assume bags from your avatar. haha

My avatar is misleading.

Thanks I nailed it. Got an offer for full time as a design engineer, think i'm gonna take it. I'm a super senior currently so state college is getting old. Been here for too long.

Thank rally mirror looks awesome with your paint scheme too, do you get a lot of vibration in it? The plastic one i had in my EP did. Loved the function of it tho! Took it off cause i got towed because they couldn't see my parking pass haha.

Congrats man! That's awesome.

Yeah, everyone has commented on how the wooden mirror flows with the car. I like it because it's not all gaudy and sticker bombed like the plastic one.

As for vibration, it vibrates a lot less than the plastic one. I actually think the height and size of this one is better than the plastic one.

I used the same mounting equipment that came with the plastic one but this one seems a bit smaller height wise. Perfect because I am so tall.

Bought an 80 grit sanding wheel for my angle grinder and set out to do work today.

Decided to color match the valve cover to the car.

Toyed with the idea of white but I didn't like the way the paint was spraying out of the white can.

Could have came out better, but I'm happy with it.

I opted to place the push button start in the audio console years ago and as a result I lost access to my power source/cigarette lighter.

I got tired of having it hang out the side of the console every time I had to charge my phone.

I decided to pull the power source out as well as the ash tray to get a little creative.

Started with a drill, but didn't have a stepping bit to finish the job.

The hole I drilled was big enough to finish the job with a Nibbler.

(I bought the Nibbler back in 2001 when I was installing Stanley sidemarkers and it's sat in my tool box ever since)

Ended up pushing it in a bit more, but it still hits the bracket of the audio console.

Overall, not bad.

Over 40 miles, 25 of which were in the rain, and the cup is still there.

My buddies thought it would be funny I guess.

I miss my WW RS lip.

I may get an OEM lip and be done with it.

I think a black spoke Nardi may be in my future.

Whenever I start spending money on this thing again, the next thing I want to do is the Downstar Tuckin' Fuel Kit.
