don't forget to swap back to your dx knuckles, the 13's wont clear the 10" brakes, the barrel hits the calipers. gotta use 14's minimum

I was afraid of that oh well, the dx knuckles and brakes are lighter anyways, maybe it's not a bad thing. This will give me the chance to go ahead and replace the lower ball joints and wheel bearings, which is something I skipped during the restoration. Thanks for the tip.

Lmfao... thank you, I'm not knocking Army guys but yeah, I've seen some rediculous cars rolling around on Ft. Benning, but there's also some pretty impressive builds around here as well.

Cool, go right ahead. I love the transmission, hasn't missed a beat. I wish I had put a 4.9 final drive in it, but I just got my hands on another L3 that I'm going to do up with a lsd and final drive gear. I'll probally be hitting you up for some synchros. Thanks for the love...

loving the progress. How rewarding is it competing with cars that cost an exponential amount more than your honda and your able to keep up with if not beat 'em? Warms my soul every time I hit the circuit with the PCA

In autocross you can always buy more speed and outspend the competition, but it really just boils down to who's the better driver. As much money as I want to spend making my car faster, sometimes I have to step back and remind myself that my driving skill will always need more fine tuning than the car needs. But yes it does feel good to go out there and run a faster lap than the guy with the brand new sti or evo.

Same thing crossed my mind Brice lol! We only kid, being we're AF. I'm at a joint base so I see the good and bad you speak of. Your car looks damn fresh, and fun! How did you bring yourself to sticker up the fresh paint?

The big Honda stickers are for contingency. If I ever win a national championship Honda will pay me for having those stickers on the car. And the Solo stickers are requireed at national events. I don't mind though. No matter how fresh the paint is, plan for it to get messed up at the track.

everytime i see a ridiculous looking honda with body kit and shitty wheels on it, I see a an Army base DOD decal on it. Its cool though, i like what you've done and you have a great attitude and design behind your car. Most people don't have that.

Obvious answer would be a silencer.

It's not really a silencer like it appears to be. Supertrapp mufflers are designed like any other straight threw muffler except at the end there're disc with a cap. You can add more disc to open the muffler up more or you can use fewer disc to creat more back pressure. in other words, it's a tunable muffler.

I assume you're referring to the picture of me pulling on the fenders by hand lol. Don't worry, that was just a gag shot of me being stupid, I wasn't actually pulling them. We rolled the fronts and pulled them out as far as we could with the roller. The rears we just rolled and didn't pull them out at all.
When I switch to the 13x10s we may have to do some more fender work depending on how much lower we bring the car down, but i don't think it'll be much. I've already consulted with Pat (the painter and good friend) he'll repaint as needed if any fender work is done, and there's a possibility we may respray the car with a race theme with 2 or 3 colors.

looks great and looks as if you are having a ball.

only thing i would say since you are starting out. use some "worse" tires and learn from them. you could run st regionally depending on wheel width and what tires, as you should know. with all the interior stripped it isn't a "true" st car, but regionally they would probably let it slide.
