Default Painted Slipstreams :X help!

well i was bored and decided to paint my slips. *flame suit on*. well upon removing the tape the edge isn't a perfect line, it has some chipping. any ideas on what i can do to fix, it was cleared. strip and start over? do a pinstripe with a brush over the whole edge? idk. any ideas or comments are welcome.

dont know why my images weren't working, but theres the pics.

*update* well i stripped down that wheel and re-did it with 3m auto paint tape and primer, here it is with primer and a few coats of paint... i havnt cleared it because im gonna check the edge tomorrow and if its not f'd up ill clear it then. it lost some of its shiney luster but its a more even color with no scratching, let me know if u think its alright

Use a fine line masking tape also a pin striping tape will work but streches easily and will be hard to keep a straight line with.

thanks guys! i think it will look pretty good if i can clean up the edges too.

now, i didnt strip the lip because i was going to keep it polished so i didnt see the point in stripping and reclearing it when i could just leave it alone (so i masked off the lip, stripped the middle of the wheel, cleaned it off, wiped acetone on it to clean off any imperfections, did 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear, then removed the tape after drying)

should i strip the entire wheel or just do the middle like i did last time, but with better tape? i want to avoid that rough edge line and any chipping when i remove that tape.

No primer? Did you scuff or use adhesive promoter? That's why it's chipping.

Strip it and start over, be more careful with the masking job.
