Ouch it hurts to look at!
I didn't get any because it was raining like hell yesterday. I have it hidden at a good friends house right now because theres no room at my place. I promise pics of it soon. Just imagine a bonestock red vx hatch that someone decided to throw dirt all around the inside!
I figured I'd revive this thread today since I actually worked on the hatch. Here's a picture of the Vx I picked up a while ago

I've been enjoying the awesome mpg's!
So on the black hatch, the engine and trans will be out tomorrow most likely :alkie: I'm going to be lame and work on Physics and Calculus now
So what got done today: Got the coolant/fuel/vacuum lines off, slave cylinder off, engine harness off, ac and ps drive belts off, ac compressor off, and cut the axles. Yes That's right I cut them because I didn't fell like ****ing with them. They are messed up already, so I took out the good ol oxy-acetylene torch out. The bad thing is I was running out of acetylene, but got em done with only minor fires :bang:
Some pichars for ya's

Sometime during the day

As I left it

I'll be removing the exhaust, powersteering pump, and whatever else I forgot then she'll be outta there!
So what in the world am I doing? I'm taking it to my buddy to get this pos on a frame rack, and let him work his magic. If he tells me it's straight enough I MIGHT go ahead with this thing. If I don't get the all clear I'm okay with that however this hatch has alot of sentimental value to me.
Let's all have a good Saturday night :alkie:

I would send that wreck to the yard. Start with a straight chassis.
That vx is pimp btw. My 97 cx got a best of 36.9 mpg so far with no mods. I would love to convert it to a lean burn car.

Well as I've said before it has alot of sentimental value to me, but I'm not looking forward to all the work it needs...
I intended to buy a clean title hatch but damn if I didn't buy another salvaged title car. As you can see in the picture of the red one the radiator support is bent. I've done sooo much work to the vx and it's a solid dd. My best tank has been 47 mpg's, and since it's a cali spec car it doesn't have the lean burn feature.
I'm going to convert it to fed spec, and I hear when lean burn's added it's good for another 5mpg's! For my dd it would be great to get around 50 mpg's.
