Default Ouch it hurts to look at!

I will try to keep this as short as possible.

One of my good friends in highschool owned this hatch. After doing a ton of body work, and paint he got hit in it. He was devastated as this was his baby

He had been trying to sell me it for about two years, and finally gave me a deal I couldn't refuse.

SO here's your average eg hatch

Shaved molding

Nrg quick release, black interior w/ ek seats

Then this happened

Here's the drivetrain(still runs hard)

Made it up to here

So now I'm going to have to make a decision.
A) Buy a shell(clean title) and exchange all the good parts over
B) Reuse this shell... possibly go rhd
C)part out
I'm planning to go with A, but would like to hear other people's opinions.

Plan A,
think about all the cons that could possibly have happend to the shell, that will trouble now, & later.

plan B... suggestion though i would deffantly get and entire RHD clip and just clip the entire front nose, obviously you need the rails, radiator support etc. make sure you get the rails pulled and and as much the excisting rail sway corrected as you possibly can. good luck shell looks clean.

And the fact that i couldn't get my money out of a salvaged title car. I have a spare B16, and tons of other parts just chilling that need to be used!

I had considered doing the entire rhd clip, but I still would have a salvaged car. It truly is a shame because my friend put alot of time into this car making sure the body was straight.

I finally talked to the person I needed to! Once the Fall semester starts up my good friend (who happens to be the advisor to the Auto Club I'm the president) of said he would put it on his chassis table and see what he can do for me. He said to straighten it before clipping it which makes sense to me. It will be awhile before this happens, but it gives me time to: finish other projects, and save up more money!

Plan A, unless you can get the complete RHD clip to replace EVERYTHING.

Well I was driving by my old high school Wednesday, and a couple houses past I noticed a freaking gem in the rough. I stopped, knocked on the door, and got greeted by a dog that wanted to kill me! The owner was on the phone, but said the car was for sale. I left my contact info then started looking at the car more.

It's a red vx hatch, that's a virgin! All original has some quarter panel damage, and somethings up with the front bumper. Tags are expired(Oct. 2010). I went by today with a wad of cash, but no one was home. I'm going by again before I take my date out tonight because I need/ want this damn hatch. Sorry for the lack of pictures hopefully I have this thing in my possession today

Picking up the hatch tomorrow. I won't be working on it until I swap motors in my EM1, but that should be done by the end of the week.

I hadn't ever seen a vx upclose in the engine bay, **** it's weird. Intake manifold is as big as a hotdog, but yet it has vtec-e, and egr..... I've got some research to do that's for sure. I'm looking forward to good mpg's!

The previous owner said he averaged around 45 mpg's, with his highest ever being 60. The gearing of this thing is insane!

If anyone has or knows of a d15z1 for sale please let me know. I need one because mine isn't going to pass smog unless it gets rebuilt.
