Holy crappoli... no offense, but this car will not be well received on this site.

The important thing here is that you enjoy the car... just be prepared for a flaming.

Having that car, in that condition is just about as smart as doing this:

Good luck with that great idea...

wow that GIF is hilarious! ha ha

but the sol is clean other than exterior. unshave the door handles, take off the side skirts and headlights, front bumper, and rear bumper. put them back to stock, and put clean 15" wheels on there. it would look nicer IMO. ha.

and B16B_Coupe is right, that ground needs to be moved.

no worries.. no offense taken on the input at all

but like many have said, it's all about the style the driver wants.. no matter what is done, there's always a critique lol

but if you haven't noticed the profile, i've only been a member for a few weeks now... what would be a better thread to put this on b16b coupe?

and by the way, that is probably the best GIF i've ever seen haha

just a question of mine... why does it seem like most people are so focused on only going all JDM... and that anything else is considered ricey???

for my 2 cents worth.. i would say its what the owner feels looks good... which doesn't always mean JDM this, JDM that, etc

for example...for my car, the things I'M not so crazy about are the konigs (they're nice rims, but i think 17's are big for a sol), and the body kit.... i wouldn't mind stock, but i'd rather go for a mugen lip vs stock, just to make it stand out

im not hating on your car, but you a nice motor powering the car. Depends if you want speed or style. Its your opinion, if you like the rice style then do it man. It just seems pointless to do a b18c Type r and then put a huge fiberglass body kit, 17's to even make it slower or look ugly.

The Body kit just stands out to much, back in the day i use to love body kits. I guess something you just have to grow out of or you don't.

I still think adding a body kit, exhaust, sound system, some rims and a intake will make your call look fine, it must be cause i am young... Your rite about the rice thing, but I think rice looks nice, once again its your opinion. I don't think the owner should care about what people think.. I know you said not hating etc,

any one agree???

nah, no hating felt at all towards my car... i respect everyone's opinion on it.... but i guess people have different variations on what they call "ricey"

to me, ricey is something such as a ridiculous spoiler, roof scoops, countless stickers, and shiny hub caps

but i don't feel putting a kit on it or rims is necessarily ricey, although most would probably disagree... like i said before, i'm not crazy about the rims... i like them, just don't feel they're meant for my car, i'm probably going to put 15's on instead in the future

but for now, i like the look it has, unique, and most people that see it up close agree... especially under the hood lol

I like it Ryan

the powerplant is cool and definately makes this car a sleeper. I can imagine some mad tight jdm yo sohc kid trying to step up at the local track only to lose to you

its a del sol for crying out loud, people are such drama queens when they see something with big wheels and body kits, this style is where this scene in the usa started from anyways

FINALLY!! someone that actually can see this in my perspective!!!

thank you!

I understand I'm not following the "cliche" of all going for all JDM with this sol, like most people seem to like to do on this site... which is totally cool with me, mad props to the guys going for that.. but that's not my intent to do... i honestly would rather go with a more unique look... even if some call the body kit or rims ricey.. so be it

but you did make a valid point Del sol sir... a jdm b18c will pretty much take out the majority of cars (especially SOHC) you see being built

i have plans for it though lol

which brings me to another topic... any suggestions on what to do next??? if you guys haven't noticed my other thread, i'm considering a turbo for the car..

my first step i would think is to upgrade the cams and valve train (skunk2 pro series is what i'm looking into) already have the gears BTW

the compression is 11:1 if i'm not mistaken, so i'd like to drop it to 9:1 with different pistons.. any suggestions on what kind to get? reinforced rods as well?

What i am trying to say is, there is no need for a type r engine, if your are killing its power by the 17 inch wheels. I personally like the interior, and exterior.....

But you kinda wasted your time putting 17inch rims. I would say take them off and put like 15s/
But dont do what I say, its your car not mine not other people that are flammas...

yea i hear you... the 17's are just for the looks, not the speed

i'll be putting 15's on eventually, the car did get a 13.38 with 15's on (and the sub box out lol)

i revoked my rude comment for 3 reasons

1. A fugen front bumper with shaved AUX holes would look good on that
2. we have almost the same hood
3. some black RFPs would look awesome

sorry for the rudeness
