I just bought a white HF with a few bumps and the right rear quarter panel dented with horrible interior for $100.

No but I think that is going to be my next buy. I was looking at the Nuespeed strut bars and they look way easy to make, but need a small bender.

Then I can make and sell my own bars wooohooo

O yeah I also found out my welder was set up wrong this whole time. The welder company set's them to weld Flux right out of the box. I am out of gas to see if there is any real diff.

I've always been a fan of square stock. When you get some more time under your belt, i'll send you some plans of a three point strut bar that's similar to the passwordjdm design i've been thinking of making.

Please do, I would love that. Hell send me the plans anyway and I'll flip the bill on the metal and see if I can do it.

Sweet. I'll have to doublecheck clearances now that the B16 is in there, but it should still be fine.

A little question about painting the needles of the cluster. Could you do a "for a dumb person" how-to ? because i really want to know what have you used to paint them. And if i put Black light led's instead of the stock bulbs in the upper part of the cluster ( the ones that light "in front" of the gauges, not in the back ) will the red needles glow red ? or it'll glow any other color ?

Well first you take the cluster out, remove the plastic (be careful!!)

Tape off the round black part. Some of the needles come off, like the fuel and the temp, but they can brake when removing so again (be careful!!!)

I like to use a paint stick. It would be in the model sec of your local Wal-mart. You can also use regular model paint, but it is easier if you use the paint stick.

I really don't like the black light that I put in. It makes it really hard to see. They to however look good in my gauges with the Orange needles.

Let them dry and put it all back together. Try not to let the needle sit on the little stub under the 0mph mark, it can get stuck to it. That is basically it, not much to it. here is the site you get the bulbs from. You will need to look up the # of the bulb you need.
http://www.superbrightleds.com/mini-wedge.html

Depending on the cluster it is easier to get the ones with that come with the connecter, but some just come as bulbs.

Good luck!!!

Soon, I should be getting the bar tonight, but I still need time to go get some gas. I work to late and the place closes before I get off. The gas is holding me up from doing everything.

Not sure if you figured it out yet but that gray box located behind the console controls the seat belts warning lights and beep.

I said, expletive it and did it my self.

Now just need to get the car out of my yard and the blue car into my drive way. I did work on my welding and I think I got it.

crxrider: I will be making your bar soon, Xmas keeps getting in the way. But my welding is 10x's better

Before

After

I also made a little bracket for a friend down here to put on his TEG
mad by hand out of aluminum.

Yeah you can, but I would just get another cluster. You can find them pretty cheep.

Thanks guys, I'll get that bar made as soon as I have the money to get all the metal I need.

Saw the pics at home last night. I really like the radiator bracket. Good work.

You'll be a pro in no time and will be getting PM's to make all sorts of sh*t pretty soon. (have fun with that)
