Just keep sweeping and use a fan to keep the dust from settling. One of the things I hate about bodywork....the mess it creates!!

Damn you, you found me out. I have been sitting on my *** and doing nothing. I think I have not touched the car in like a week and half.

I guess I'll work on it tonight, but I'll have to see how I feel.

I have made the executive decision to replace the driver door and driver side fender. Just to much work to get it perfect. I also don't think I can.

I need some motivation. I mean any one on here that has had a project always gets that "I think I am just going to sell it and call it a day". That's how I feel now. But my wife will not let me!!! I guess that's good...............

Trust me, i have felt the same way, recently even.

I just wish i was done with it already.

I'm the same way with the little things. I could've had it together by now, but along the way it's like "well, as long as i have this off, i might as well paint this or replace that"

It really is never ending. Even those guys that do the total frame-up resto's have set-backs along the way.

At this point, i think its best to do as much as you can to get it on the road, enjoy it a little bit and then gradually get to those other things you want.

Don't sell it, you'll regret it. It's crossed my mind, but then i come to my senses and slap the **** out myself.

Don't give up CBURKE, I wish I new how to sand, paint etc. I've had my rex for over 10 years now and she's still not where I would like to her to be.

I plan on keeping my rex as long as possible. My son who will be turning 6 this X-mas day is already saying how he would like me to buy him a rex one day so he can drive it. Although I don't know how to paint or do body work, those are some of the things I need to start learning so that God willing when my son is older, we can do things like that together on his future car which ever it may be.

I've got two kids who are young so time and money are limited but I do what ever I can when possible. It's too bad you live a 1000 miles away, I'd be glad to help you out and learn something as well.

Thanks alot guys, really. And man I would love the help!!!

I don't think any of my "friends" have been over yet to help, but I am to picky anyway and would have to re-do what ever they did.

I know what you mean about just getting it so it can be driving and I think that's kinda what I am going to do. I'll get the paint done and work on everything ells as I go later. We will see.

Ain't that the truth!! I hate OCD. I am fortunate enough to have some friends that have come over to help, but most things, like you say, need to be done yourself.

Nice stuff there man! I like the rotor as the grinder stand.

One thing though. Can i talk you into running vertical braces as well on that crossbar? The mounting points for the hatch struts are flimsy. Just my opinion.

Nice welding BTW. Can't wait to give it a try.

You read my mind good sir.

I am going to run an X from there to the strut bar I am making and then for fun, I am running another X bar to the frame rail bolts where there will be another bar from frame rail to frame rail. Just ran out of time and bar.

I am going to make some more this weekend, I need to make a bar right behind the seat, but there is nothing to bolt to.
