Wow. I just caught up on this whole thread. It was pretty exciting, right from the start. Then came the horrid carbon fiber vinyl. ouch. Overall, I like 'em. Both of 'em. I really respect the way that you're adhering to your ideals on what "clean" is. Props to you, and I'm a subscriber. I really want to see how this comes out.

Thanks man, the carbon fiber is gone. It really does not hold up to heat at ALL.

Thanks again.

Well guys the white CRX is now being parted out. Every time I turned around I found more and more rust. I don't feel the car is safe nor is it worth working on any more. I am striping it all apart and selling everything. I should get a good bit of money from the part and that money will help finish the blue one woooohoooo.

you actually have a 12 hour flash window on most base clear systems. And Ive never seen base, or clear harden that fast. You stated that it happend in 2 minutes. It would have had to be atleast 120 degrees to kick off that fast.

I would not, but there gone already. Most of the car is gone. Hell I just put it up yesterday!!!

I am keeping the hood and the windsheld (it's new) and the sun roof (mine has rust).

Default Great work!

Hey man, Just went threw every page of your thread. I used to own a Ford Escort Zx2, and always wanted a Honda CRX. After a build on the ford, the tranny pissed me off and i trashed it. I then got my crx and am in the process of redoing all the interior, auto to manual, mini me,multi port. My lil project is nothing to yours but it gets frustrating some time with me being unexperienced and all. Reading this thread and looking at the awsome pictures builds my confidence and helps me look past all the bs.
Here's my crx: go to photobucket.com and search Blakeab84
These are the pics i took when i first bought the car... for $600.00
btw, The blue car has turned out to be sex!

Thanks guys, nothing new just yet. I do have a glass guy coming out to take the new windshield from the whit car and putting in the blue one. That just saved me like $300. When I sell everything I am going to be making a list of all the stuff I need to finish it off so stay tuned. I have set a date for mid Oct to have it ready for paint and done by Dec, well at least I hope.

Well I got my oil psi and water temp gages and decided to hook them up. Got all the A/C and Heater crap out from under the dash and that was fun!!! Didn't get to take many pics but here are a few.

My strut rod bushings came in and I am also waiting for my LCA strut bushings to come in.

After that I am ordering my 2 back tires and hope to really get started on the body.

Ok, now i see them. Nice gauge setup.

Also, two things. May have stated this, but anyway, shift boot= Just one of those ITR replicas? Where did you pick that up from?

And, is that a UKDM VTI cluster i see??? Or did you just paint the needles? I want one so bad.

I painted the needles and I got the shift boot from http://www.jdmland.com/

Better not be a replica lol.

Got all the gauges hooked up so as soon as I get the white car out of here I can really get started!!!

Did some work last night not much, but I tell you what if you have a CRX/Civic do this. It was easy as hell, took all of 10 min and if you can afford traction bars (like me) this works almost as good.

This is the wright way to hook up an oil psi gauge, not using that plastic hose that will one day brake.
