Default my official da build thread

alright, so i have a 90 integra gs hatch. i bought it about 2 years ago with no knowledge of even buying a car so i didnt really know what i was getting into at the time. im currently about to graduate from sscc in a few months here. anywho, when i got the car it was basically below stock, all stock but the condition of the body was really bad, it had been sprayed with spray cans like 5 times. it was a horrible paint job, runs all over the place. cracked tail lights and a moldy int.

after getting the car home i noticed the front bumper was ziptied on and when i removed it the core support was kinda banged up. ive done lots of body work on this car, it was involved in a hit and run on the drivers side qt panel and it was so bad you could stick youre hand inbetween the door and qt panel. i guess ill just start listing stuff ive done to my car

-new master cyl
-new axles
-new front brake pads/ crossdrilled slotted rotors
-new rear brake calipers, rotors, pads
-energy suspension shift linkage bushings, rear sway bar bushings, front lca bushings, motor mount inserts
-skunk2 lowering springs in rear
-skunk2 coilover springs with ebay sleeves in front
-ebay cat back exhaust with magnaflow muffler
-b1 valve cover
-turbo xs oil catch can setup
-ngk spark plugs and wires
-dizzy cap and rotor
-14inch rota slip look alikes hand polished by me
-frost white paint job
-ebay black housing one piece headlights
-90-91 tail lights
-short shifter
-cf nrg shift ****
-new clutch cable
-jdm armrest with custom fabric matching with custom door inserts
-pretty good sterio

and lots of other stuff but cant remember. anyways, time to start posting pics, NO haters please. i dont want to hear about what you dont like about my car.

Good improvement. The rear sunroof drains in DA's are retarded. I had to extend the tubes in my bros old DA to get them to stay in the drains out of the quarter panel.

its wierd, im missing a part of the tube on the drivers side rear sale panel, i have a small part of tube that goes down under the car but nothing from the roof connects to it. wierddd. i just need to pull down the headliner.. and im not to excited about that lol

i saw those black one piece headlights on ebay for like 140. i like them because the are black housing, sorta look like itr headlights but, im not too sure i like them anymore, after having them for about a year now they are starting to crack some minor moisture build up, just another poor quality ebay part, but then again, the stanley ones go for like 200 to 260.

anyways, tonight i was bored and took down the back of the headliner and reconnected one of the rear drain tubes, however i found a leak coming from my antenna so i took off the antenna and put some selant around it. anywho, well see how well i did tomaro, its suppose to rain tonight.

i used to have the genaric stainless steel 4-2-1 headers but the oil pan on my car only has enough room for 1 pipe, not 2 (down pipe) thus one would hang down lower and get smashed.. lol i found a good header for my car just recently but, its a little pricey for me

im just going to get the oem heat sheld over my stock headers for now. nice clean oem look.

thats odd...usually 4-2-1's fit fine, thats what i have on my da... a 4-1 usually wont clear the front cross member though...

my bad what im trying to say is the 4-2-1 the 2 part pipe gets smashed up. but if youve seen the stock da integra headers , the part that bolts up to the engine goes from 4-1 then the downpipe that connects to that is just one pipe, it fits tucked under the car so it doesnt get hit..... as much

well, the "stock header" or exhaust manifold is cast iron, really heavy duty. wouldnt be surprised if it hits just as much but just doesnt dent and scrape as bad. ive heard from alot of people that a dented up header wont effect performance anyway, so id really consider getting one. that stock exhaust mani is really constricting.

anyway, how do you like that catch can? run any better?

actually, i dont notice any difference in power (of course) but i do notice a more clean intake and engine. also, my car doesnt smoke nearly as much as it used to when pounding from 1st to 2nd gear at like 6,500 rmps. but then again im a casual driver. i only get on it mabe twice a week lol
