My mint 97 EJ6....
Picked this 1997 Honda Civic DX hatch-back up late this summer...
Saw it on Kijiji for $4000.... Original 31,000 miles. Never seen winter.
I didn't really believe the ad, but I had to go check it out.
As soon as I checked it out, and the paper work came back clean, I had no problem paying 4k..
It literally has no rust, and obviously has never seen winter.... So clean you wouldn't believe it. Like factory new.
Bare bones too. Only an alternator belt!!!
The seller told me she is friends with a doctor who travels across the border for work. Apparently, this doctor bought the Civic new in 1997, and hardly drove it. It sat in a garage for the better part of 15yrs.
She initially bought the civic for her daughter, who ended up not being able to drive a 5 speed. So because of space, and a refusal to drive the car from her daughter, I ended up with it...
When I got it...

After I put a bit of love into it...

Here is what I did.
-Plugs/cap/rotor
-Fuel filter
-Exhaust from cat to the back...
-Rotors/Pads
-Timing Belt
-Water pump
-Valve cover gasket
-Tires
-TSB for the engine harness.
-Canadian ECU conversion/ELD delete
-Sealed trunk/tail lights
- UNDERCOATED
Next will be suspension, and eventually a nice clean B18B1 swap for a peppy DD.

nice ride man keep it going. i got my eg with only 60k original miles for 3,000. not anywhere near mint like yours, but still had all original parts, even the brakes!
Thanks guys.
I forgot to mention I did a cluster swap as well. I even took the whole thing apart so I could roll it back to math the original miles to the KM readout.

Also,
Here is a couple updated pics I took tonight.
I took the painted metal DX spoiler off since it had a big scratch in it. And I replaced it with a CX black plastic one. I like it way better.

seeing your car make me wish I had waited for a clean one. I have same car color but with 212 on it! Its definatly seen every winter since '97. Body's in bad shape I have to replace my 1/4 panel https://i.imgur.com/XHJ8a.jpg I'm Starting to build a gsr motor from scratch after I found I essentially need to rebuild the motor. see how much longer it'll last..
With that many miles you could get a good return for your engine if you want to sell it, but id personally just change the intake /exhaust for a y8 and drive the hell out of it before a swap!

That's what my old lady says...
Here's the engine.
When I did the TB and WP, I coated it with some black heat paint, the cast was looking bad from all the "sitting" .
The bay is so clean, I wish I took a better pic...

And here is the OEM style can I got outta the scrap yard. Its' brand new...$20.. Stainless... And its powder-coated!
Had to buy the rest of the system new though...$130..
turbo that motor.
Why take out a perfectly good motor that will last over another 100k, even with a mild turbo on it.
That's part of the cool thing with that car, a nice low mileage motor...and you want to put some ****** b series in there?
Turbo is cheaper, makes more power, easier to install, and can easily come off unlike a B series swap

Your not the first to tell me this... in a sense, if I was power hungry, this would no doubt be the best thing to do.
I really don't see how a turbo would be less money that a swap.
But I've looked into it, and it can get costly when you do it right...
Tuning around here isn't cheap.
If you do your research, a swap can be done easily and cost effective.
Since it isn't #1 on my priority list I have lots of time to think about what the best route to go is.
