Re: My First Honda...CX EG That Was Once Built Stolen Now Being Rebuilt! PICTURES!!!
I was at a shop in the bay area and they have the 20th annv interior (with door panels, front/rear seats, rear panels and storage box...which is sick!)
Its black and the checkers are red....they weren't really purple at all (maybe there's other colors?) He told me he's sell it for $1K but I have Si interior in good shape and can't see spending that much on my interior when the one I have is in good shape. I just want better front seats (Like I spoke of earlier)....I want the arm rest and convert to EX door panels, PW, PL. I wonder if that storage box will fit in my interior as it sits? I seem to search for function rather then the JDM conversion aspect (although I think your interior looks pretty slick) I want to get rid of my DC header and get a new Tri-Y replica rather then worry about the interior. I can get Integra seats I want for about $150-170...thought about del sols (most are hammered and need re-upholstery) and I gave that dream up when I was told $6 hundo for two seats....uh....no thank you.
Are you gonna just leave the PW switches for RHD like it is? Is there something you can do? Can you take the center of the door panel (the only distinct difference) and transfer it to some black EX panels? That way you have LHD switches.

The $600 for del sol seats was to have them re-upholstered!! Would have to
find some tore up ones cheap first......so no.
I cant remember but I 'think' that I remember the back of the door panels
showing it being two piece design and the part with the fabric can somehow
be removed....and hopefully swapped. I'll look at some panels next time I hit
the recyclers.
Now the door panel conversion...I'm looking into the cleanest way to do the
conversion with the least amount of work. The hardest part is the wiring to
the fuse box. some people say to take the whole friggin' harnesses out of an
EX (like from the engine bay into the car and all the wire web of disaster under
the dash). i would like to stay away from unbolting my dash to run 8-12 wires
to a fusebox. I think there must be a way to make a harness for under dash
wiring needs before hand. Just get to a EX in a junk yard and take whats
needed or mimic it. It can be done for less then $200 (door panels and all)
I already have power mirrors but you would need to think if you want that in
your car. Some people say to just take the whole door set (for your color
preferably b/c prepping a door for another color is a pain) but the hard part
isn't swapping out the guts for the door but the wiring that ensues after lol

Here's my EG. But I'm looking for new wheels. Saw some tasty Gun Metal type R 16's today but would need the 5-lug conversion (he said $1400 for conversion/rims)
I just added a OEM GSR rear sway/Lower Control Arm/Upper Strut bar this week. $125 total (plus $10 for primer/paint) but don't have a picture yet.

I wish I had an SI
What I would do for a sunroof haha
Only thing about the cx is that its the lightest chassis produced
None of that sound deadening (spelling) but ya I wanna slap on some coupe doors
So I can get those pw/pl but I would know where to start because at the same time I don't wanna get rid of my doors cause of how clean they are, any ideas?

Clean EG doors are a hard find.
You dont need the doors.....just the guts (thats my plan) Get everything except the windows out of both doors....panels and wiring too. And you need a relay or relays that are under the dash.....then the wiring to the fuse box. I'm going to do it this summer
Go to a recycler that knows whats up.....and then...if he's too expensive.....take the info and go to someone who doesn't know whats up and buy the stuff.

I got mine off of an eg forum
But its pretty easy to find, well depends
On the color you want
Purple seems like the easiest to get
Vti- interior is blue
I've seen tan, green, grey, black, black checkered
And the ultra rare yellow
