My EJ1 Resto/Daily/Build
What's up guys? I'm new on here so let me introduce myself. I'm Chris, I'm 23 & live in upstate NY. I've been in the car scene for a long time, from Mitsubishis to Audi/VW to Hondas. I started out with a trashed 89 CRX that I daily drove for about a year when I stupidly sold it to get a 93 Audi URS4. Flash forward 3 years & I now have another silver 89 CRX sitting in the garage waiting to be built. I recently just signed the lease on a new 2015 Silverado & decided that I wanted something affordable & fun to daily & mess around with. I searched around for a while when back in July a guy in Utica contacted me with this car. It's a 95 Civic EX, 5 speed & all stock minus some stupid "coilovers". The body work was about 85% done & for what I paid I'm happy with it. So here's my plans/what I have done with it.
-Repaint it the factory Milano red
-New lowering springs
-Shave the emblems (done)
-Center console with armrest (have to install the 1 I bought)
-Drilled & slotted rotors (installed)
-Short throw shifter
-Wheels & Tires (may just ride on 14'' steelies & hub caps for now)
Eventually I would like to buy a bare d16 block & do a full rebuild engine for it but that's down the road. I'm hoping she stays a good running car & can bring me some joy as a daily. Hopefully she turns out decent & doesn't look like crap haha. I'll update this as I go along. Thanks guys.

Re: My EJ1 Resto/Daily/Build
Got some more work done on the civic. Everything is all primed minus the passenger door & the bumpers. I just got a 96 Integra GSR because it was too good of a deal to pass up. If the wife allows, I'll probably hang onto this thing & do a full build on it & daily the gsr. Time will tell. Here's some pics, don't mind the chewed up dog bed on the roof:
