not sure about the trim rings. andy, remember bill's scion box? had the stock steelies with chrome trim rings. i don't think it looked too bad.

 

yeah i remember it. it was alright i guess. i think it'd look better with painted steelies and not just the black though, but idk

 

i'm not a fan of painted steelies. i like the black better than any other color. they are steelies, no sense in trying to church them up with other colors. but a trim ring would look bad ***. lol.

when are you starting the turbo install? what are you missing?

 

i still need a down pipe. and an oil return line, and to tap my oil pan. i also need injectors and a fuel pump. august is a hard month for us because of paying our 6 month car insurance premium along with the other bills. i also need a turbo now. i bought one on ebay from a guy, and he never sent it to me. when i asked when i should expect it, he claimed to have "lost" it. if you guys don't believe me, pm me your email addy, and i'll forward the bs line to ya! lol. first week of september, i'm planning on getting a few things i need since i'll have the loot.

well, he said he wants to refund my money. if he does that, its cool. but, if he doesn't follow through with that by tuesday, i'll file a complaint.

and i need some dsm 450 injectors. i'm not exactly willing to spend the ebay average price of 65 and up for them. a friend of mine just found a set on craigslist for 20 bucks. so, i sent the guy an email. THATS in my price range. lol

 

i was actually thinking about trading a quite decent tool collection i have for a gsr engine. finding someone who would want to trade is the hard part though. i'd even consider a b16 with some cash on top for them. i have a blown head gasket i believe so, i figured i could build the ls while driving a gsr or whatever...anyone local know of anything??? just thought i'd put that out there

i want one thats in good running condition and needs nothing, lol. i have over $3,000 in reciepts for my tools too, so i don't think i'm too far off looking for a complete gsr.

 

no you're right. i'm just not sure how open to that kind of trade people are/would be. never really heard of that kinda trade myself. not saying it wont happen, just never saw it before, thats all

 

yeah, neither have i, but i'm sure someone, somewhere needs some tools and has an engine they need to get rid of. i'll take pics of it maybe and put it up for trade, or for sale later.
