Default My DA Build Thread!

Sup my names stephen but you can call me Stevo my first car was a 91 DA9 i bought from my Aunt when my uncle died, I rember riding in it when he would take me to the movies and school i felt like a Badass in his car so i wanted to build it and make him proud of it but befor i could get most of the parts together to install i got rearended leaving school

after that i was crushed sold my DA parts and bought my 66 el comino and after awhile i wanted another DA so i found one that looked exactly like my uncles in good condition. i found one and have owned it for a 1 1/2 years i almost had to sell it after a accident but i spent a couple nights working out in the shop to bring her back to life

enjoy my 91 gs w/built ls/v

When i first got it

a couple of months after i got it

after the suspention i decided i would put a motor in, bought a GSR from a so called friend that didnt last long.... rebuilt the 97 gsr head with s2 valve train and itr cams, then picked up a LS block from my buddy tyler and put some hardend ls rods and CTR pistons in it

then i blew out my stock shocks with Slip ons and bought some Tien Basics and a friend gave me SPC camber kit im gonna replace the fronts with s2

after a week of the new suspention i was heading out to IntecRacing to pick up my new oil pan and on the way there i hit a ford escourt... she had no brake lights.......

Fixed it up a with jdm 1pcs and a siebon cf hood

the new tanabe exhaust so my son can ride in my car

rebuilding my lower end with scat rods and wisco pistons just savin money to get block blue printed bored and honed and a KNife edged crank

no negative opinions please thanks

Yeah im likin it so far it pulls hella hard but its not at full potential yet stuck on LS tranny and my ecu only lettin me shift at 7500 but i got a new ecu getting mapped and chipped for my car hope that will fix that problem also since your gonna have about same Comp ratio as me look into getting a 4-1 header with 2.5 collector cause if you get a tri y you will probaly get a 2in collector and you wont get enough exhaust out i ran my buddys header off his gsr for a week and it was a huge difference but i had to give it back when he got his head back on lol
i cant wait to get my custom header tho HEHE

once again thanks for all the positive comments

You have 3 great things going on in your life. Beautiful ride, baby, and fiance. The story of your childhood is really cool, I really enjoy reading stories like this, and the driver who loves to build a very timeless body style and make it the very best it can be.
