Default its been a bumpy road

i am the third owner of this car. the first owner traded it in for another car, he is the kind of person who wants to drive the latest car. the second owner purchased it at the pre owned area of the dealership. he is the person who thinks by adding a muffler and neon lights the car will go faster. so the car was equipped with a crooked muffler pointing down and an ebay exhaust manifold and resonator. it also had red neon lights in the interior. a few months later while attempting to drag race, he was speeding along the city streets when he hit the person in front of him at a high rate of speed. unfortunately i don't have any pictures of the car to show you how f***ed up it was. that's when i offered to give him $2,500 for it, and he agreed. so the journey begins! it was my high school project and having a driving permit, it would be great to have it ready by when i had my actual driver's license. i only had a part time job so i couldn't afford much at the time and had to piece it together little by little.

i started by sending it to a body shop to get the metal and frame aligned and straightened out. i would go to local junkyards and buy piece by piece. it took me about a year to buy everything and finally put it together.

by my junior year in high school i had it looking clean again on skunk2 lowering springs and 18 inch enkei wheels. the disaster struck, we had a big storm and it blew a tree down, it just so happened that my car was the only thing in the backyard and it was the only thing it hit. i didnt lose hope though and bought a new roof, sun roof glass, and interior roof panel. back to the garage for construction went the ep.

hope you haven't got tired of reading our complicated relationship

everything is back to normal at this point and decided to fix the muffler. its a knock off apexi n1/hks high power which is too long. so the muffler shop welded it angled down to clear the lca. my solution was to cut it shorter with a grinder and weld it back together. that's until i save enough money to buy a better exhaust system. something that i still cant believe was that the previous owner hollowed out the cat to gain hp and after a few months decided to get a resonator instead of having the cat, that was an epic fail for him which got handed down to me! now i have to keep fixing the cel problem.

senior year comes around and i finally decide to drive it to school, then halfway through the year some mojo in his silverado with escalade front clip on ugly what looked to be some of the first 20 inch wheels ever made hit me. he swerved into my lane and hit my bumper dented my fender and the rotating tire ripped my headlight right off the car! here we go again to the garage! so then i ride out the shop in a freshly painted ep3 once again!

just to let you guys know i live in dallas, tx. i dont know if you know or have heard about texas weather, let me tell y'all something, its f***ing crazy as hell! its like a woman on her period you never know what to expect! so earlier this year i washed my car end buffed it to a beautiful shine. the next day it started raining, i was like great what more can happen to mess up such a perfect shine. then i remember about 30 minutes after saying that i was just about to get home when it starts to rain down baseball sized hail! after the storm i sadly washed my car to see the damage and i have a car that looks just as bad as the surface of the moon and a broken windshield as a result.

i still have faith in this car, it has never let me down, only a few flats but that was my bad for going over potholes and a dumba** who slashed my brand new neo gens! other than that she has been very good to me and i try to keep her shiny and looking as good as new but all odds seem to be against us. the best part about my car, the odometer hasn't hit 15,000 yet, original miles!

i will post more pictures later when i have time, i am currently rolling on front ls mesh wheels up front and black 17s on the back i picked up at a junkyard for now until i save enough money for a wheel and tire combo or new tires not sure yet!

its very hard and frustrating, i feel the car spends more time getting repairs done than mods

its not my first time fixing a car, i had a bad experience fixing somebody's camry, a 94 model to be exact. it was in my garage for about a month because everyday that i would fix something new, another thing would turn up broken or worn out. i don't think i want a corolla
