Default I need a DIY

hey guys, i want to sand and repaint my steelies on my 1999 civic dx 4 door, can anyone tell me a step by step process on how to do it all, i want to eliminate the brown spots(maybe rust, even though it doesnt look like it), and then repaint them black again so they look clean, thanks.

not hard. i wiped mine down with acetone. then scuffed them up with a 3m pad. then wiped them down again with acetone. then painted them.

I hurd you can just use a Green (kitchen pad) to scuff and paint... anyone tried that?

this is my steps on painting rims/steelies
1.sand rough
2.sand 1000 grid
3.primmer
4.wet sand 1000grid
5.lite coat base color
6.heavy coat color
7.gloss lite coat
8.gloss heavy coat(not to heavy or well turn yellow)

i use dupli color wheel paint and gloss.
my total cost 25 bucks.... hope i helped

so 1000 is good for right before paint?

im painting my rims and im wondering what grit i should use for some small curb marks.

for small curb yes. big curbs i use bondo/body filler.

bondo works on wheels? doesn't it fall off or chip away? never heard of that before.
