hyperblu's em1 build thread...
Got my tax return today and I'm ordering a new oem SI front lip, taking it to honda and having an alignment, oil change, and having the drivers side seatbelt replaced. Getting the windows, sunroof, and window strip tinted when I get a chance to make an appointment, and going to order some pads for my pc7424xp to do a full paint correction and achieve that showroom shine. ;D
Been working my butt off this week and looking at 6+ days a week for a while, so all this overtime will eventually go to the civic. I got an alignment at honda the other day and they ordered me a new driver's side seatbelt and are going to replace it under the honda seatbelt lifetime warranty. I also bought a brand new oem em1 lip for $255 that I came across on ebay, so hopefully should have it sometime next week... I got all the hardware for free from a friend, so that saves me a headache. :D Also got 2 qts of honda MTF so I can change the trans fluid hopefully next weekend. Just an update. :D
Had alot on my plate lately so havent had much time to devote to the si till today. Ive been so busy with work and moving and I also havent had internet for a week until this morning, but today I ran a few errands and decided to do some work on my car. As a tax return gift to myself, I treated myself to a brand new em1 lip from honda. Got a good deal, so couldn't pass it up. Today I installed the lip, washed, clayed, and installed a few more goodies from my sponsor http://www.facebook.com/xszone. Today I got a passwordjdm carbon spark plug cover, the just released cup washers, and a few other goodies that I havent had time to install just yet. But here's some pictures to tide you over till I take a few more tomorrow of the other stuff installed.

Will hopefully have all my pwjdm stuff installed by tomorrow. Already been rockin the towhook for a while now. :D Stay tuned.

Woke up this morning and waxed the em1 and installed a few more goodies from my sponsor and also a little surprise he gave me... a carbon whale *****! I must say that intake does wonders for sound... Since I have a stock exhaust, I wasn't expecting much, but DAMN! My b16 sounds like a freight train!!!
Waxed and looking pretty:

Installed the newly released PWJDM cup washers for the vtec solenoid and dizzy. Also got around to installing the pwjdm valve cover washers as well.

Whale ***** installed... Excuse the dirty bay, it was pretty funky under the oem air box. I'll clean it soon.

Haven't updated in a while.. Just thought I would pop in and give an update. The em1 rolled 100k miles yesterday, so to make her feel young again, I ordered Over $1400 in parts brand new from honda. One package is coming from the Uk (hint hint) so I will update with pictures when everything is here.

OEM Timing Belt kit and water pump set/misc gaskets seals/drive belts/ etc
-BNIB OEM EK9 CTR Headlights
-BNIB OEM Window sashes
-BNIB OEM Raybrig fog light kit
-20% Tint all around +sunroof and windshield strip
- F&R Brembo disks on the way and oem pads on the way!
Installed!

Got the city lights in the mail from passwordjdm the other day so I put them in and put the ctr lights back on the car...

Installed the front brembos and pads and currently bedding them right now. Like an idiot, I forgot to put the master cylinder cap back on so my engine bay is covered in brake fluid. Oh well, i planned on flushing the brake system with fresh honda dot 3 whenever i have time to run by harbor freight for a vacuum bleeder... My brake mc and clutch mc fluid is GROSS!!! It definately needs it. On another note, I'm just about done freshing up the engine. Im going to buy a new head unit today since the stock cd player is showing its age and acting up. Once I get everything in tip top shape, I'm going to buy a new hood and driver's side fender. I found out I have a taiwan fender, which really pissed me off and explains the shitty fitment. So I should have the following done by fall:
New OEM Hood
New OEM Driver's side fender
New OEM bumper (mines oem but is mis-shaped by incorrect installation)
New OEM Core support (It's original but has a little bit of damage at the "t" bar and the forks where the side bumper clips go however, the frame rails are unharmed and perfectly straight, so I will be able to acheive perfect body gaps on the front end.
And I should have all that installed and ready to paint by the end of september during my shutdown at nissan and she will be getting a fresh respray of milano red. In the mean time, I will continue stacking up parts and getting little things here and there till I am able to retire it from my daily and really start digging into it and respraying the bay and building for boooossssttt! cant wait!
No big changes... My motor mounts are shot from a few hard launches and spirited trips down curvy roads, so I just ordered a new set of hasport mounts. Wife lost her job, so things are slowing down a bit. I did put a B&M short shifter, skunk2 440 gram ****, and ctr shift boot in though. Will have to rip it back out when I replace with energy suspension bushings though. :D
