Default hyperblu's em1 build thread...

I got tired of dealing with hondas that have been abused, wrecked, and neglected. The hunt was on for a good base to start with. After a couple of months of looking, this gem popped up on autotrader and I immediately knew this was the one. I called the dealership to get more information on it and he sent me the carfax and we spoke about the previous owner. The carfax shows 3 owners, but it was only passed around a single family. The owner was an engineer and was extremely maticulous of this car and took extremely good care of it. I drove 4 hours to Amory,MS and took it for a test drive... This car drives like a new car, interior is mint, exterior is in great condition, minus a few parking lot dings and scrapes...

Car has 92,xxx ORIGINAL MILES, Non smoker, and appears as if it hasnt even seen rain. All the bolts in the engine bay still have the zinc coating.

Short term plans include:
-OEM Si front lip (was stolen)
-alignment
-buff and polish
-grill repainted
-front and rear bumper clips replaced and adjusted (old age=sag)
-polish oem muffler and tip
-new oem floormats
-windows tinted and sunroof tinted

I cant believe the condition of this car... Still has the new car smell. Steering wheel and interior shows no wear. I am tickled. Definately worth the $6500.

I will also be using this as a demo car for import alliance in nashville this summer and will be hopefully fully decked out with the whole pwjdm line. Dont want to advertise our business on here, so we will keep that out of the picture.
Enjoy.

Because of how low mileage and minty fresh it is, i'm not wanting to start a full on build, because finding this was hard enough. Just want to lower it,slap some wheels on it, and keep it as low mileage as possible for a while.

$6500 out the door... It was top dollar for this area, and I expected it to reflect that.

I'm extremely jealous of your find! I searched forever for a MR EM1 only to find one that had a full system (which he kept), 17" wheels, no lips, 105k miles; however, he was an original owner. I paid 7500 for mine and sold it last year for 7800. Just buy your lip from Honda, that way it comes painted and you wouldn't have to get it painted.

btw, if you ever want to part that rear lip, lmk.

The lip will be bought new from Honda. This will be my new daily driver for a couple years but I'm pretty sure if I stay on top of the maintenance I can keep it this nice till I can retire it to garage queen. Thinking about a nice respray of fresh Milano?

Sold the hatch to a friend of mine and sold the lip to a Honda specialist with a 400hp em1. I will just buy a new Oem one, no biggie

Polished a test spot on the quarter panel with my pc 7424xp with meguiars m205 polishing compound. I achieved 80% correction, which is more than I expected for one pass with a light agressive compound... I am transitioning into a new job so I have some downtime in the meantime to get some serious work done to the em1... ill probably have pics tomorrow to put on here so stay tuned...
