Re: GSR Hatch build up, from the begining..
UPDATE:
Its so ****ing cold and snow covered outside I cant get much done, but I decided to go more in depth and hack my harness to put it down low and centered in the firewall. I also have a few more mods (re-painting VC, doing my own little idea) that I am giong to start so lots of pics coming. Still waiting for some OEM honda stuff and cam gears to get here.
My GF picked up some help for when it warms up a bit, I like to work on the car in the middle of the night, its quiet and no one bugs me.
The next bunch of stuff is going to be detail type cleaning of parts and wiring.
Reminder to me: Jon, dont forget to grease this up before you put it back on.
Im not going to use this GSR intake manifold anymore so I dont care how much it oxidizes
Toolbox form walmart: $7, great for parts.
I went hard on the top of the dizzy to try to get that dull aluminum back to normal.
The top of the vtec sol lost the battle to the humid conditions here, so I painted it black. Still needs a touch-up.
Sanded
Painted
Harness is going to trace like this...Im going to see if I can keep the fuse box and battery in the engine bay cause I dont like the fully tucked look. kinda looks like an S2000 bay haha

From the other end, I didnt touch the injector end, Im not sure if they de-pin at all on the injector end.
In other news, I know I really must finish this car and I will, but, I found a car that I just had to have for an insane price of only $1,500. Its a Right Hand Drive 5-speed 1990 Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Cosworth. It was an amature race car in Ireland and has been taken down to 2,160 lbs with just a drivers race seat and full roll cage. Its was so cheap because Ill have to pay lots for it to be road legal and its gutted inside so Im sure no one wanted it. The motor needs a hg and water pump but has a dyno sheet of making 356whp. Ill get pics soon as (if ever) it gets here from Seattle.

Re: GSR Hatch build up, from the begining..
Other then the headache of trying to get the Cosworth into Canada, I had some time to work on the car today. Mostly cleaning it out and re-spraying the brake calipers because the old paint was letting rust through. I went ahead and painted with rust-proof type paint and clear coated also.
My front driver side rotor shown here seems to be rubbing and I just cant seem to work it out, anyone know whats wrong? Pistons are all the way in; if I have to drive like this will it be a big issue or will it ware the pad down and be okay??

Re: GSR Hatch build up, from the begining..
Okay, there is going to be a huge update as my OEM Honda parts are in Canada and should be here in 2 days time. At that point the motor in getting bolted in the car, Ive been waiting soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long.
I decided to use the stock GSR intake just so I can get things moving along faster, so I worked on that today. Also, I never posted a pic of my mounts, so there is a pic here if the driver side mount.
More to come soon.

Got any picture of the harness going into the firewall? What did you do with the passenger side junction plugs? Im looking at tucking my EG, and you did it about the same way im want to do.
