Ef Project
Hello everyone,
New to the forums.
i have a Very clean EF hatch i've been working on for sometime now.
Was wondering what you guys think and if i could get a few pointers as far as exterior goes.
Everything has been converted to LED as far as lights go By the way.
Engine is STOCK. Might do a swap this summer but i havent decided yet.

Is that a Subaru hood scoop? I personally don't care for your car, but it looks like you've put alot of work into it.
I think a good exterior upgrade would be a rear spoiler. Theres one I like, and I think it either j's racing or chargespeed I'll try to find a picture for reference.

Re: Ef Project
It is actually.
I did it as a fiberglassing project in highschool.
@Homebuilt503
No lift kit.. thats stock suspension right thur.
I'd very much like to lower it and that'll probably be my next project. Get some nice coilovers.
This summer
I'm really hoping to get my hands on a b16 or b18, But we'll see how much time and money i have.
Any other recommendations?

Re: Ef Project
You said you did the the hood scoop your self? I used to see this car all the time and it was always driven by an older guy and the hood has always been like that for a few years now along with the rest of the stuff that is done to the car.so did you do the stuff or did you buy it like that?

Hate the hood scoop, love the color. Im guessign you did the paint also? Yes if your on a tight budget just save your pennies and do some cheap mods like headers or something until you get bored and have money saved. Swaps although cheap do rack up some $$'s in stupid stuff that you didnt take into account in initial planning lol. GL

The hood with the scoop was terribly cracked and looked bad so I salvaged the scoop pickEd up a new hood and redid it. That was the project. Otherwise I've just been working on various little things new rear bumper replaced fuel pump with a new one just odds and ends. I WILL not take credit for original idea as I said I simply got a new hood and redid it.
That's why I'm trying to figure out what to do, I got pretty lucky with a nice clean start

That's my bad I definitly cannot and do not want to take credit for something that's not my work, my props to whomever was the original owner. so I hope that clarifies things
And for the most part the scoop ha some sort of purpose intake is literally right behind it

Re: Ef Project
Looks good - nice work on the hood scoop. I would not lower it for DD use. If you're going to autocross, that's something else......
Spend your money on exhaust system, Optima battery, stereo, etc.

The interior Is actually in beautiful condition so I'd probably leave it the way it is for now. Eventually I'll put in some fresh carpet, seats and maybe wrap a few things. Maybe even try my hand at doin the ceiling but since it's in Pretty good shape I won't worry about it.
If anything the first thing that will happen as far as interior goes is center console and power windows. I have to figure out where I'll get both of those
And as far as lowering the car why wouldn't yOu want it lower? I mean even just an inch would look so much better and not affect daily driving.

I like the washington plates. i reside in olympia. anyways as for advice.. if your trying not to.. as they say... *rice it out* id take off the hood scoop, and never add a rediculously big spoiler cause niether of them do anything. Yes please lower but dont use coilovers =/ ya want it low and smooth.. not low and bouncy. As for a swap.. anything can be in mind. b16a's are always fun. but the best thing would be a b20 vtec turbo we all know who im talkin about lol.

Re: Ef Project
sure, your EF is in a great condition. but that hood is butt ugly. Fast and the furious era is over dude. and your ride is way to high, looks like a fricken SUV.
change your hood, Slam the car with good Coilovers, not crappy sleeves, and if you're gonna go with a rear spoiler, go with a chargespeed.
