Today I replaced the dented driverside front fender and installed the front filler peice and si bumper. It needs a wash and a front lip!

Parts ready to go on.

Installed the front filler peice.

Front bumper on!

All alone in the barn..

More to come since the weather is starting to warm up...

Today I went and messed around with the hatch for awhile.

Installed an ED Si cluster since the std cluster had no tach.

I also realligned the front bumper and filler. I still need to install the front corner lights/turn signal lights and find a lip.

I tried to start it but no luck. The gas in it is over a year old. I need to drain some gas and put in some fresh gas.

Still need to install the rear ksport springs and rear disc conversion. Probally not at the same time as I need to get new trailing arm bushings for the disc arms before they can be installed.

SLowly along now...

I picked up an odyssey 680 battery yesterday. I had one in my old hatchback and loved that it can be mounted below the original battery location.

It is turning over nice but will not start. I was reading about switching two white wires at the dizzy plug but I didn't have a pin/pick so I could swap the wires. Today or tommorrow I will swap those wires, check my timing, and try and get it started.

Hopefully have some pics up sat night.....

I picked up some 91 civic si seats(front and rear) today. Driverside seat has the usual tear and the others are in good shape. Also got the si front lip. I will probally go back for the red rear bumper also.

I didn't have time to work on the hatch today and forgot my camera. I am glad I found the si seats as the std seats were crap. Hopefully I get it running next time I go out to work on it.

Tried to start the civic, it wanted to fire but my battery started dying.

I decided to take out the old seats and carpet and put in the Si seats I picked up. Also threw in my DC armrest that needs to be painted. I also need the peice that connects the armrest to the dash.
It is really dirty on the inside. I need to use a shop vac and get out all the dirt/dust.

As you can see there is alot of dirt that was under the carpet. I installed the seats temporarily until I get the car running and can get to an outlet to vacuum and clean it out.

Also installed the rear shelf and speaker pods.

Then I started to installed the front '90-91 Si lip:

I am going to take off the front bumper again and finish screwing in the lip. Also while I have the bumper off I need to align the bumper filler better on the passenger side.

More to come....

I removed the engine harness from the ZC today(will be relooming it) and also pulled the brake master cylinder. I have a master cylinder from my last crx si. Once I install all the brake parts it will be the complete crx si system.

No pics, once I reloom the harness I should have some...

Installed the rear k sport springs/kyb non-adjustable shocks. Now I need some 89 accord kyb front shocks to replace the stock civic shocks that are installed on the front with the k sport springs.

Preload those bushings before tightening!

It is dirty as **** in the wheelwells and on the underside of the chasis(sat in a barn for over a year). Definately needs a thorough cleaning!

The engine harness is installed except for the cyp sensor(needs the wires extended to reach). After I do the wire extension I will hook up the battery and show how I mounted it to the front crossmember...

Then time to bleed the brakes and drive.

Hopefully get some new trailing arm bushings for my crx si rear trailing arms soon so I can install them.

The ZC is running pretty good, Its throwing an o2 sensor code which I need to fix. I will be getting my exhaust hooked up tomorrow so I can finally start driving it.

Couple dirty pics. I will be getting some better pics soon. I painted my 89 crx si wheels gunmetal on saturday night. I will be putting those on tomorrow as well.

I drove the hatch around today. Sounds like I need to adjust the valves. The whole car needs a good hand washing and interior cleaning.

Still no new pics, DC Sport exhaust is hooked up with no cat and a stock Honda 4-2-1 exhaust mani. Sounds good and not loud at all. The DC muffler/resonator packing ain't the cheap ****.

Finally got a couple pics with the painted 89 crx si wheels.

Also got a carbon fiber Password JDM battery relocator for my odyssey 680 battery. Thanks TallKyle. I need to finish installing it tho...

And a pic of my DC armrest/center console, suede shift boot, and skunk 2 shiftknob (yes, I need to scrub the whole inside of the car!)

Cosmetic wise I want to repaint all my trim peices, even around the door windows. Also I want to find a red rear bumper as well...

that is correct.

I burned 2 quarts of oil in the first 1000 miles of driving the ZC. Compression test showed 205, 180, 205, 200. Thinking of finding a good running sohc d series motor to throw in for now and keep the ZC to rebuild it NA style.

I hadn't worked on the hatch in awhile so I decided to throw on a pair of red painted mirrors. ALso installed a non-dented stock rear wing(also from another red hatchbak). Pics don't really show it tho, lol.

Before

After

I still need to scrub the floor but I have been lazy. Been running pretty good.

I switched to using a PM6(89-91 crx/cvic si ECU) instead of the PG7(88-89 integra ECU) I started with. The PG7 was dumping too much fuel as you could see it out the back window while driving. The PM6 ecu seems to run it a better and without the excess fuel.

Still undecided on what I want to do with it. First I need new front shocks. Then figure out about what to do with the motor(number 2 rings are leaking). This might not happen for some time until I find a Full-time job after I get my ASE certification(After next May, so I might find a cheap sohc d-series or another ZC to run until then).

-Rebuild the ZC for NA duty
-Switch to a NA sohc d-series and build that eventually
-Swap the ZC/D-series to something else.
