Default DB2 Race Car Build

I guess I'll start a build thread now that it's pretty well underway. Some people will hate it, some people will like it. All criticism is welcome. It's been a pretty long road. No rare parts, JDM, tucks, etc... (At least that won't be removed soon)

Back Story:
First car was a 1990 Integra sedan in 2001? Sometime in the 2000's I bought a 1992 integra hatch. No real pictures. I got bit by the track bug a few years ago. I was driving a 2013 Mustang GT. Ran great for a while. I needed something cheaper, not my daily, and I was anxious to get into a momentum car. Found a few prebuilt 90-93 integras. Nearly bought one until the owner jacked the price up on me. Upset me enough that I decided to build my own! Looked around for a while, blah blah, wrecked, salvaged, over priced, etc... I found the oh-so-coveted integra GS-r. Included a B17A1 with a hole in the piston, a B18B1 that was installed, 2 transmissions, a ton of tiny extra parts for the rebuild, etc... Saw it. Made offer. Towed it home.

I guess I'll start with what I had. This has been traded in toward a 2014 F-150 Ecoboost.

Day One

Time to investigate and stuff... AC/PS/CRUISE Removed. Found out I have a HyTech header. Also has an RS-R catback that will be removed soon.

B18B1 was not in proper working order and I was rushing to get on track. Local favorite Texas World Speedway is going to close. Out with the old, in with the new. Cleaned the bay real well, rattle canned it, and dropped in a B20 w/ P8R head.

Bought some wheels. 15x7 Advanti Racing Storm S1. Weighs < 11lbs I think. Mounted rivals until I learn the car better. Never tracked FWD. You'll see one of my garage mate's there.

Carbon Fiber hood. Seibon ~$350 shipped. Ignore the dongs... this was a first drive without having the seats mounted. Friend in a lawn chair. Round the block type thing...

Car came with Koni yellows and rs-r springs. Purchased some GroundControl 550f 450r. Off to get the major work done...

Hand me down seats

Cage **** - NRG QR - Momo Monte Carlo (Yeah... I know the shifter is in backwards...)

I'm happy with the panel. It's shaped to the roof.

Some fake spoon mirrors since I was missing the glass in one of mine. So much lighter than the power mirrors.

As it sits, and now the fun begins... Getting rid of the wiring and painting the interior...

What size are those rivals you have mounted on the Storm S1s?

205/50ZR15 on 15x7... A little wide for the wheel I think.

Some other things. Not much new, had a trans rebuilt, didn't turn out well. I'll be rebuilding it myself this time around...
Clutch:

Did the ARP extended studs all around

Added a FPR and increased it quite a bit and now the car runs much better. Also stripped all the sound deadening out and removed a lot of the power wiring for locks, mirrors, etc... Painted the interior, just a quick shot to keep rust off the cage.
Hopefully the next pictures and stuff will be of me actually driving the thing...

looking good man, I just built a cage for my car but I'm gonna cut the front half back out and re-do it. as soon as I built it I started having no start issues and there is something under the dash shorting but because I bent the bars around my dash instead of going through it I can't pull the dash now lol. I'm running 205's on my 15x6.5 and they feel pretty good to me, not much bulge but I haven't stuck a gopro to record "folding" yet to really say.

look forward to seeing your progress
