Default First Integra Build

I put this up on team integra and figured id put it on here too

Hey whats up Im josh and figured id start alittle build thread while im waiting for parts to come in. I come from a really big nissan background and some dsm, but this is my first ever honda(thanks to driving my girlfriends around lol). A couple months ago before before i left my job as a tech to start machining at nissan my parts counter guy kept giving me a crazy price on a non running gsr with 94k he had. He said it was a Florida car, which is a pretty big deal here in Pittsburgh, and turbo setup so after i left that job and as soon as i had that much money put aside a called him and bought it. I didnt even go and look at it just transferred the title and came and got it for the price(which was an absolute steal).
I threw a battery in it and it had no spark and found the icm bad so all she needed was a new distributor. I been driving it to work everyday(which is 900 miles as of today) to find any other problems from sitting for awhile and so far so go except for a couple little things. It ends up sitting on tein coilovers, top and bottom sway bars all around, and even has a catback mugen twin loop(which is the nicest sounding muffler ive ever had should i add haha). Its running what i think to be a turbonetics t3t04e turbo with some drag manifold.
The poor thing is tuned on a vafc and rising rate fuel regulator but is running way better than i thought. So far ive got neptune on the way(which i found on here) with a plx wideband and i got the iat setup cause it was only $50 to add on to the gauge i got. I took dsm injectors off my gsx and have a resistance box ready and still waiting on my fuel pump to get here. Ive got gaskets coming for the whole exhaust from the manifold back too
Ill get some better pics up when the weather clears up and keep you posted on what else i end up buying. For now im just shooting for about 280-300 whp to get better gas mileage than my v8 lol

Trust me me either haha. I actually have metal fenders for it from the guy I bought it off of but he needs to get them from his parents or something. But the front bumper and rims have to go too

So it was pretty nice today and I figured id get some syncromesh in my tranny because its not very happy about going into 3rd some days. I ended up finding where im burning all the oil im smelling too haha. As soon as i get wheels on my gsx i can put this is the garage

Other than the turbo timer the interior is still how i got it

Check out my ancient fuel system haha

Does anyone know if this is actually a turbonetics t3to4e? Im just waiting on my manifold gasket to come in, that i ordered 3 weeks ago, to take the turbo off and look at numbers

Do you know what real ones are made of? I just figured it was a fake cause it didn't have mugen written all over it anywhere.I've honestly never even bought any mugen parts haha

Don't quote me on it, but I think it's made from fiberglass, because I know the side squirts are.

Edit: just did a quick google, supposed to be polyurethane type material.

I did this yesterday but never posted it because the penguins game came on, and have slowly been doing this while the warriors games on now haha. But the other day i did a 4th gear pull and when i hit around 7k i filled the cabin with smoke. Went right into 5th and went away and was fine. Long story short my dipstick tube was blowing oil out right on my manifold. I have a catch can to put in but have been too busy to go get plumbing for it. So i did i quick 20min bandaid to my issue while i had it up and the bumper off

As you can see there is nothing left of my stock dipstick so i grabbed the brand new dipstick out of my gsx and decided to make it work

It was way longer but the same width so i just cut it real quick and notched it(they actually are the size exact size from the base and new one is like a cm and a half bigger, but this was the only pic that focused)

Then it didnt fit between my manifold so i grinded it off

Well see how long this takes to melt...

About 30 miles lol

I threw an extra pair of pliers and oil dipstick in the truck incase im that skeptical

I ordered it straight from plx lastweek and its already on the way. But as soon as i get it in all forsure put on some pics

So i took the bumper off for a sec to give the headlights alittle love when i woke up and decided to actually look at my mugen bumper to see if i could actually be legit and im starting to get alittle excited although im still not getting my hopes up. I did i google search and couldnt find anything but a couple threads that were at least 6 years old with no actual useful info backed by anything to believe. Im gonna get some better pics and make a thread and see if some mugen guru hopefully comes across it lol. I have parts coming in this week so im sure ill have some updates

Ive been putting this boy back together today after waiting a long two years too. She jumped timing a couple days before me and my buddy moved down to Charlotte for a couple months. He ended up just grabbing a new motor with how easy they are to get and everything is dropping right in the same way it did then with no problems. Thought there would be a couple nissan guys on here haha

Nice pick up! Looking forward to seeing the updates on this car. That looks pretty legit, so does the emblem. Replica's typically don't have tags like that. Especially from that era before knock off's started getting real difficult to tell real vs fake. I'd put my money on that being a genuine bumper.

i believe its an authentic bumper, because that looked like the same stamping on a set of mugen side skirts for a dc i seen back in 2006.

Well i got some actual parts today and out of the blue began my off season of work which i was kinda getting ready for and convenient haha. So even thought it looked alittle shitty i looked at the weather and it was only a 15 to 20% chance of rain until like 1am so i started pulling everything off from the block to the cat.
My car car finally stop suffering on a basemap tune. My neptune rtp finally came i got used off of someone of the classifieds here.

Ive never had such a clean car in my whole life.

So not even 10mins into pulling everything off it starts pouring out of nowhere but that really wasnt gonna stop me i had new parts haha

I really wasnt a fan of the oil feed laying on the manifold when i got the car so the first thing i did was put some aluminum tape on it when cause i had a random roll on the table by my door and it looked like it did its job haha. I CANT STAND MANIFOLD BOLTS. so im gonna put some dsm studs in cause i have some and theyre slightly longer than b18 arp studs

Sometime i do post weld heat treatment at work and we heat these pipes up to like 1400*f and hold them for a couple hours (These pipes have diameters of like 3 to 4 ft and wall thicknesses of 2 to 4inchs) and these things will be GLOWING orange. We have this temp mat thats about an inch thick that i can touch with my bare hands wrapped around a 1400* piece of metal sitting for hours with power still to it. I grabbed a peice and some wrap from work and put it on my downpipe because it drives me crazy how close it is to my intercooler and a/c line. Its not done or wrapped the whole way but you get the idea.

So i took some pics of the turbo lastnight and was too tired to get them posted. I replaced the turbo to manifold gasket and im glad i did because i found a nice little boost leak as every bolt took no tourque to unbolt and can image my face when i saw the bolts with this much gap.

I have some general knowledge about the turbo from a google search but has anyone ran this before? Id like to know when youre hitting full boost and what not haha. If you have any knowledge about it please feel free to let me know, however old this thread is, cause my google search didnt get me that far

And this is probably my favorite picture

Tonight i got a chance to put my studs in before my adult league game and when i got home decided to knock out this broken bolt in my turbo some ******* left for me. I shouldnt be that mad though because they already centered it perfectly for me haha. Im not that excited about how it looks but i wrapped my oil feed in some temp mat and some aluminum to hold it. Im not really going for looks in the bay until i get some new clear cloat so ill go for function. I chased everything in the head and the studs went it really smooth

I chased all the threads while i was at it and should go on like new

When i first got the car that ss line laid right on the manifold which kinda made me cringe.

I wrapped my manifold in some heat wrap then aluminum to see if i could save my dipstick at all

And the most important part is the parts that showed up today
