and was curious if anyone has done something like and isntalled there own alarm or relocated it after a shop install?

thats one i thing i have done to my crx, install my own alarm. looks hella complicated. ill hit him up.

Went and shopped around for an alarm and was told no-one will install an outside alarm, has to be one that they sell or it will be 85/hr so 4.5 hours turns into $380 little bit cheaper than gettin an alarm installed from their shop for 400

alarm installs are actually quite easy, it looks intimidating at first but every alarm comes w more wires than you will ever need. you gotta look at the manual to figure out which wires do what, and then most people just depin the ones that they don't use. i'm not going to tell you where to put the brain, but be creative. i can pm you a good location for the horn if you like.

on major piece of advice i have for alarm installs would be to either use oem wiring for the most part (go get a spare body harness and tear it apart) or run all the wires the same color (preferably black) so it confuses thieves. and the sight your looking on is GREAT for references, but DO NOT use the exact locations they use.

I know where DCRB put all his stuff and how he did it. Lets just say that if I were a thief and I tried to get the hatch, i wouldnt get far as its loud, i wouldnt even FIND the brain, and he has ***** hidden haha

didnt make it to the junkyard, replaced my center console where the stereo sits isntalled my 8K H4H HiD bulbs. and drove her. damn she feels so different to drive compared to my buddies 4DR.

has anyone ever used h4h hid bulbs before? i have 8k hids in my stock front end and in my Ej8 coupe and they looked bluish, but in with the 8K h4h's they look purple? will post pics later.

Are you going for the sleeper look so it doesn't attract thieves?

Not really my ultimate goal was to have either the ef8 conversion or authentic mugen kit paint matched to my car and just have it chillin in the garage and rock it for shows

I agree with this man. I would rather have it safe and not driven. hope you NEVER have this happen again!
