Re: (Clipsed)
ALRIGHT! So I'm finally making some progress after selling my DJ equipment and got some money to spend. Hopefully the guy comes through with the other half of the payment this weekend.
Anywho, I'm currently prepping for paint. I have decided to go with the roll on paint job only because my rattle can job has seen better days, and comes out clean in some sections, and [freak]ed up in others.
So here are the prep pics!
Finally got EVERYTHING out of the car, doors off, just need to drop my motor since I dont have a lift, and seperate the tranny to be able to lift it out on my own.
Here is a lil vid of the culprit!
GUTTED!
Working on this bich!
Looks so lonely man, brings a tear to my eye! She will be up and running yet AGAIN and WITH A VENGEANCE soon!
And to show the shitty job on the body work of the prior owner(s), instead of welding the holes that they shaved, they just threw a CRAPLOAD of bondo to fill them So for now, I'm just going to fill in the cracks, and deal with it when I have money to pay someone to fix this horrid mess.
The door
The rear quarter
The roof
Threw some primer on some of the bare metal areas, and where it was not prepped correctly for the first (purple) repaint
And painted the trunk area flat white so that I have a base laid down for the real coat.
Hoping, I say again HOPING to have it painted and semi put back together before I leave on vacation to Laughlin for Memorial day weekend (5 day vacation for us! )
That is where I am at for tonight, still have yet to prep the driver side, and drop the motor to prep the bay. Just a lot of work, and I have a test tomorrow that I need to get a good nights sleep for.
Let me know what you guys think!

Yea, slowly but surely. Well CURRENTLY the plan is to have it painted and running for the EF meet on June 14th. It will be my last meet before I leave for military duty. Once I get stationed and settled, I will decide where to go from there. Probably build the motor for LSV. Dunno, only time will tell.

Re: (bgangsta180)
Sorry I have been lagging it on the build, soooo much to do, so little time, went on vacation last week but I'm back gonna try to get cracking on the sedan.

I would love to, but I think it is out of my hands ATM, with me leaving, I truly think the sedan is going to get painted, put back together, smogged, and sold I know, but I will be leaving for 6 months without the car, and I really just want something new again after all the problems I ran into with this car.
Anyways, here are some updates
My new to me beat up center garnish is brought back to life after a lot of time and elbow grease.
Got new rims with tires that are PRACTICALLY new, stripping em, and repainting em, gonna sell the phat fives.
Pretty much it, getting more sanding and primer done.
Lots of work ahead of me!

Re: (Clipsed)
ok, Got everything done, starting to lay down the paint. I layed the first coat down with a can because I am using almond which is a light color, and will take FOREVER to cover grey if I were to do straight roll on. This will make my life easier and go faster since I am on a tight schedule to finish the car! Plus I still need to roll the car out and into my parking slot and put up plastic sheeting as a booth, because I live next to a freeway so dust and debris is HORRIBLE!!!
Without further adue (sp?) here is how the car sits currently.
