Casey's 1992 Civic Si build

Re: Casey's 1992 Civic Si build
No major updates but I did finally sack up and polish my windows. The windshield has been replaced and looks great, however the side glass and the sunroof are original and had some etching from 25 years of rain and sun cooking it on. I did a little research a while back (probably this time last year, thats how long its been bugging me) on how to polish glass. The answer was cerium oxide powder, mixed with water as the compound and applying with a rotary or rubbing on. I bought 8oz of the stuff last year and had tested it on my integras beat up windshield to make sure I wasnt going to ruin anything.
I spent about an hour doing the windows on the hatch, and another hour washing the car. The cerium oxide is extremely messy and abrasive enough to polish glass so I wanted to make sure I got it off the paint as carefully as possible. I am very happy with the results as the glass looks great now, but it is not something that I want to do again if at all possible. I would say it took care of about 85% of the issue which is fine with me.
Before on the sunroof
after I just snapped in the parking lot at work
side window before
after
in process pic - rotary took care of the major portion but i had to use a microfiber pad by hand in the corners to get it as close as possible. Messy **** for sure
and washed off. Vision smoked amber corners in, but I actually think I prefer the Stanley clears. I feel like the Visions will look good with some bronze wheels though

Nothing new on the car itself but my friend that sold me the shell came by with some OEM Honda parts he had purchased and ended up not using. Quite a stockpile of stuff that I wont mind having spares of. Got an awesome deal on it as well. Tons of good stuff including full front windshield trim, a whole roll of vacuum tubing, clutch master cylinder, clutch reservoir and bracket, steering tie rod ends, tie rod boots, clutch fork, flywheel bolts. I just stuffed it all in my spare closet where I keep all my other junk for a rainy day but glad its there if I need it

I ended up getting accepted to the Showcase for Import Alliance this summer! I have not been to an IA meet since the one in Charlotte in 2012 and have not brought a car since Nashville in 2010. Pretty excited, mainly because Nashville is an awesome place to visit. Hope to see some old friends out there too and some nice builts.

I like the contrast, it covers a few blemishes I found that need to be correct soon. Here is is with the bra off during a wash. Hood needs a little more tweaking to align how I want but should be an easy fix once I have an opportunity to mess with it
Other updates:
replacing more worn buttons. Defrost switch replaced along with removing the cruise switch and replacing with a block off. Still waiting on my power mirror block off. Little things make the biggest difference
I have had the mugen front bar a while but have not had a chance to get it restored until now. I got a great deal on it and am glad I did not have to get it polished. My friend that did the valve cover and wheels also does fabrication and metal work. I took the bar to him to address the scratches and bring back the original brushed look
here is the damage I wanted repaired
after the refinish and me applying a correct black sticker
I was blown away by how nice it came out. It is definitely ready to go in the bay
And one moreat dusk after a thorough wash. First time ive put any dressing on the tires and trim
