Re: Accord Coupe, front end conversion
So, after I banged the edges a little closer together and had the two fenders pretty much flush, I started tag welding them on the car. After I had enough tags where it was safe to remove the fender, I took it off and finished welding the two fenders!
(welds look like crap but they hold strong, again, i only have a stick welder)
After welding, I grinded the welds down, shaped the fender to what I needed it to be and put it back on the car to see what it looks like!
Came out alright I think. So I took it back off and and preped the inside of the fender for a nice coat of undercoating!
Then I put it back on and started bolting it together with a couple of bolts so I can do the other fender!
More to come!

So going by the timestamps on the pics, were you selling this car completed on craigslist? I saw an Accord coupe with a Lude front end on C/L about a year ago.
Beautiful work, and youre local too.

Yes, actually my wife posted it while I was stationed in Cali just to see what we can get for it! One of my friends has it now and I actually drive the car whenever I want to. I got good money for it and i figured why not, i'll just do another project. Are you around Manchester a lot? let me know if you wanna go for a cruise someday!

Re: Accord Coupe, front end conversion
At that time, I slowly started picking up some goodies to go into the car!
First i got a MOMO Steering wheel with some Racing seats and 4 point harnesses.
Then I took my spare set of rims from my wagon....
....took all the little bolts out, sandblasted them and painted them gold!
Looked real nice and I think that it is a nice scheme with burgundy!
Also picked up a magnaflow muffler and cat, DC-Sports Headers, TB Spacer, TSudo Spark plug wires and lots of other great things the Internet is providing us with!

Re: Accord Coupe, front end conversion
Sanded down the front end, Primered it black, fixed the wiring harness (Lighting system), Installed the headlights-Fenders-Bumper-Turn Signals and everything else besides the hood.
Now the **** work: The Hood of the Prelude ended up being close to 3 inches to long (by windshield), 1 1/4 inches on each side (fenders) to wide. So I had to messure everything out at least 5 times, mark everything properly down, take a grinder with a milimeter wheel, grab my wife to help me hold the hood and start cutting the Carbon Fiber Hood. After i cut it, I took 300 Grid Sand paper and started smoothing down the edges and made sure all the lines are straight. After everything all done, Ihad to see what it looks like! sorry for the crapy quality (cell phone) but here it is
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I had another 95 accord ex front lip kicking around, so I ended up heating and bending and putting it on the bumper!
Next thing I had to do is fill those ugly *** holes in the hood and remove those hood pins!
As you can see, the gaps between the parts are close to perfect!

Re: Accord Coupe, front end conversion
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you the PRECORD!
Needs a little more work (like lowering and a nice paint job) but i have a week befor I leave for BootCamp!
It actually def will be slammed in the front due to the Prelude nose being higher than the Accord nose! But it works for now!
The hoods not completely done yet, but like I said I only had a week left and i wanted to drive it!
Fenders also need a little mor body work but It'll get done once i get back!

Re: Accord Coupe, front end conversion
After I got back from all the training, I finished installing all my little goodies!
I actually ended up making my own brackets to my liking out of the old seats!
Then, i came across something i really liked!
All I can say is VIS
Made my own License plate lights out of Led's
