hey so you know, me and my friend on here swapped ina CRX gauge cluster into his boner deficient (EF) sedan cuz he wanted a tach and was gonna be a ricer and add a pedestal mount one, but i said [freak] THAT lets look on HT, found out you can swap a CRX or Si cluster, cuz it has a tach thats ALL you gotta do bro the tach will instantly magically work!

* UPDATE MARCH 11 *

So tonight, I finally decided to work on my car. I installed the Cold Air intake, which i would like to re-clean and secure it completly. I also put the battery back in and made sure the cold air tube wasnt touching the battery **** ( whatver thats called)
Also tested the new cluster, which works but the left and right signals dont go on, I'm not sure why, it has nothing to do with the cluster itself as after i unplugged my last cluster the same thing happened.
I got this new cluster cause i messed up my last one
On my old cluster i changed the milage by over 100 000 but its broken anyway ( the little piece) so i messed around. I wonter if it still works after you change it??
My new cluster has over 300 000 miles on it..
i noticed something was unplugged and just dangling as shown in the picture below, no clue what that is.
Finally grounded the dam thing. haha it was bothering me before.
I took off the header and cleaned aroudn the edges also, nicely unplugged, tucked the spark plug wires nicely ( and correctly) so its not so crowe then put them back innn.
I also took off electrical tape from alot of wires and re did it.. not so necessary but alot of wire was dangling and dirty.
Heres the pic of the intake.

sry its a shitty pic i messsssssssed my camera up this weekend. cant see anything on the screen so i have to use the eye hole. back to the 90's folks

here is the wire that I found dangling

Within this week:
I neeeeeed to to learn more about wiring, and wiring diagrams in my repair manual don't make sence to me.
I would like to re wire alot of things, dirty old wires, my deck, and set up my gauges.
also fix the problem with the left and right turn signals.
bake and paint my headlights
Within the near future
New cat coverter, NEW not used header. for the ZC, tricky to find.

Lemme know what you think. Toronto heads PM me if you have any goodies
lolll

EDIT* will this fit on my SOHC ZC? http://www.teknotik.com/produc...at=52
thanks

that plug is for the old dual point injection wich isnt used for multi point. if you want you can cut the plug off and tape the exposed wires.. or just leave it.

also why is a header hard to find for a sohc zc? its the same as a d16

thanks domm3y.

janzen, headers arnt hard to find but the people that are selling new headers say that for the ZC, its a slightly different shape and i have to like modify the header to fitt properly.
i dont wanna spent money and maybe even shipping for a ehader that doesnt fit you know.

D series headers should all be the same. And you dont need to re wire the deck, thats done properly.

i hope you dont live in a state that requires a emissions sticker cause they will fail you for having that mini air filter on the valve cover. thats why theres a nipple on the intake tube so you can run a rubber hose from the intake tube to the valve cover so your not venting HC's into the air. i have my emissions lic in pa and we have to fail that. it does not meet the visual inspection.

that mini air filter is still illegal in canada

sohc zc is the exact same as the d16a6 si engine. the zc that people are telling you is different is the dohc zc not the sohc zc . dohc zc you have to trace the exhaust manifold gasket onto the header and then dremel it out to match(port match) you dont have to do this for your engine.

also the wries for your deck should already be soldered since i saw chris do it lol unless you use a different brand deck+

the bolts and nuts holding the exhaust manifold to the cat arent old.. im pretty sure chris put new ones on in the summer.. they just get seized cuz they heat up so much and because of the salt from winter rusts them out quick. if you have to just hack saw them off and get new ones

oh ya. i think i took the one spring off for the engine swap. cuz it was making noise. go to crappy tire and get the proper exhaust bolts or just go anywhere and pick up nuts and bolts . you dont really need the springs inbetween.

Whata weekend. Man im tired
anyway today i put in the new header
with one minor problem, the connection to the cat conveter. I'm getting a new cat conveter anyway, so until then I'm gonna try not to turn the car on, the problem?? small space about 1 or 2 cm's to far apart, and the wrong hardwear. Kind of hard to explain. It's going to be fine though. But it did get real hot (the header) when i let it idle to a little bit. little bit of smoke or something coming out of the little gap where the connection is to the cat, i hope nothing serious.
well enuff with the problems here the pic. ( by the way the black hood is on, looks great. )

heress the connection
