Looks like I missed a couple posts...

Not very entertaining pictures, but the cabin harness is 90% complete. I need to install it after paint for final touches.
Most are thinking it looks stock - ahh I did my job. There are some major differences most of which are undetectable.
The final touches would be headlights, marker lights, and bumper indicators. I still need to clean up around the door plugs and install the factory retainers / clips.
Here are a few pictures of the t-bar after a bit of cleaning…
I have two EF8/9 clusters to work with. My first, I bought locally - very nice condition. The one I bought on eBay was very dirty and missing bulbs. I didn’t take any before pictures of the dirty cluster, but the local one is pictured assembled whereas the eBay one is disassembled after cleaning.

Update…
I’ve been working on the doors and fenders a bit.
I seem to be running out of things to do on the body, engine, and suspension.
Now that I’m working on items that need to be painted it’s time to order more paint. :-( I hope to have the fenders and doors painted and installed by the end of the month, but who knows as I have an interview tomorrow…
I pulled a few parts today to inspect the cams I have in the engine… It turns out they’re from an OBD0 engine. I’m still a bit undecided as to which cams I’m going to use because I sold my GSR head and I’m giving the buyer first pick of what I have.
I’ll post up a few pictures tomorrow of where I’m at with the doors and fenders not very exciting but we all love pictures. ;-)

I just checked the mail and guess what…
If everything falls into place I should be able to finish my exhaust by this weekend. :-)

Well I didn’t get to the things I thought I would today, but I did take a picture of where I’m at with the cams…
G-man and I were looking at the spring retainers with major question marks going off…
They might be factory, but between us we’ve never seen them before. They have an E46 label - no, not the BMW - on them. I’m going to remove one tomorrow so I have a better idea of what I’m working with.
I find it kind of funny but if I kept the OBD0 manifold the top end of the engine would be OBD0 for the most part without even trying. ;-)

Today was another “get a lot done, but make very little progress day”.
So, not knowing what retainers were in the head we did more research and still have no answer...
What we do know is they aren’t stock and are very light. Stock retainers weighed in at 15g where as the ones from the head were 9.7g.
One of the things that ended up on the “to do” list yesterday was swapping valve springs around. I happen to have a full set of OBD1 B16A and B18C1 valve springs. I ended up using the B16A intake valve springs on the exhaust side and the B18C1 intake valve springs on the intake side. All of this was topped off by stock retainers. I think I’ll do more research on the aftermarket retainers and use them in the ’94.
Before I installed cams I changed out the oil pan for the GSR one I had in a box - better condition - and new gasket.
With all of that done I installed the OBD1 B16A cams so I don’t have to worry about any tuning.
The final touch for the head internals was updated cam cap retainers.
Bad picture, but you get an idea what I was working with today…
Here’s the final shot for the day.

Finished the valve train then started working on the exhaust…
I thought this was going to be straight forward, but like everything else it’s going to fight with me. ;-)
Below are some pictures of it back on the car. I still need to work out a few details…

I was able to get most of the exhaust fitting done today. I need to tack two more pieces for final fitment before the finish welding is done.
Here are some of the pictures of the day…
I think it’s kind of funny looking at these pictures. I’m spending a lot of time on a two inch exhaust, but when the stock 1.6L was in the car I loved the sound so I hope in making it fit better and the addition of the B16A it’s close to what it was before…
I had the opportunity to test fit a set of my wheels today. The first thing that comes to mind is they don’t fit the look of the car. The second is they don’t fit…
It was white Civic day at the shop…

Progress is slow…
Thanks to Eric and Adam I was able to finish the exhaust today/tonight. If you’re reading this thread you know I’ve been working on it here and there, but at last I’m done for the most part. I need to install it after I clean the rest of it, but I have a good feeling it will fit fine.
Here’s a quick picture of where I left it Saturday after Adam tacked a few spots for me.
I tried fitting my TE37’s on the rear of the car to verify my suspicions the trailing arms aren’t correct. It seems some of the rumors are true. The trailing arms are not a good fit and you need to use CRX trailing arms. Bummer!

I'll have some pictures tonight. I cleaned up the exhaust some more before I installed it and started the car. So far I don't notice it being any louder with the B16A and the removal of the converter.

I was able to finish the exhaust yesterday thanks to Eric.
Before installation I finished cleaning up the front and rear half of the system.
Here are a few of it installed…
The picture below shows what I was trying to do with the exhaust. If you can’t see most of the exhaust I’ve done my job. If you look at some of the before pictures you ans see where it hung down by looking at the scrap marks.
Once the exhaust was installed I started working on a few issues I needed to work out.
To help clarify some of my wheel fitment issues using DA trailing arms; I measured the track width of the black ’90 in a similar manner to the method for the white ’90. I came up with a 0.25” track width difference between the two cars. The white ’90 has a wider track. Given that information I’m going to remeasure both cars tomorrow.
Here’s a parting shot for the day…
