Nobody notices that edge forming on the vtec lobe of the cam??

Cam's are the problem..

Also for future search, OBX cams use a metal that is actually harder then what the normal rocket arm can handle..

 

If the cams are harder than the rocker arm pad, why is the wear so severe on the cam? Wouldn't the rocker arm be more worn?

 

Not all the time..alot of things will depend, but for the most part, the early version of the OBX cams were made of a harder metal, but dont quote me on it..i never really took the chance to look @ a profile or actual camshaft from obx..there were enough reasons on this site to not use them..or actually try them..


Finding a camshaft that will last is important in this market..

 

Was the retainer to valve seal clearance checked and the install height of the springs checked after the rebuilds?
