I think a 3" exhaust is fine for cars making anything over 200whp on a 2.5". They will gain whp with a 3"...

All motor race cars don't even run exhuasts do they? That should tell you something??

Personally I run a 1" stock exhaust!
with a headertech header and 3" QTEC.

running such small piping will cause detonation on a high compression motor..
